ARTISAN BOULONGERIE CO – GREAT AMBIANCE GREAT CAFE FOOD

Hi there

Once I heard Artisan Boulangerie Co. (in short ABC) is opening at Kiliney Road, I immediately check it out once I have time during lunch. 🙂

Hidden at a corner off Kiliney road, this spaceous cafe serves lots of good stuff, of course their baguette is a must try. (I will tell you about it more later)

We managed to have lunch there, and it is definitely a place I will be back. 🙂

Once you enter the cafe, you will be greeted by a wide range of pastries, tarts. I have already told myself that besides having a full lunch there, I am so going to take away some pastries and tarts for my family. (And I did, Yeah!)

It is mind boggling looking at the wide varieties, and as the price is a tad on the high side, I also will need to pick wisely as well before I decide to blow my whole week lunch budget on these. haha..

We started with a pumpkin and beetroot salad with feta cheese, sprinkled with pine nuts, definitely whet our appetite for an epic lunch.

Then we move on to the chicken pie! A good palm size served with some salad greens, so it is a good set on its own

There are chunks of potatoes and chicken cubes, which is quite filling actually, with some tabasco, finger licking good.

And how can you not have a nice cuppa of hot beverages with this scrumptious meal.

Next we wanted something vegetarian so we got the grilled vegetable panini, love it, absolutely tantalising, the panini with sesame coated on it, give it an extra crunch.

Ok, as for the bread that comes with the meal, we are just okay with them, because they are really hard, I mean I have so much difficulty trying to cut through (and I am serious)

Overall the meal was really nice, the ambiance was great, the staff were really friendly, actually we ended up chatting with a few of them too.

With my good mood from a great lunch, of course, it will kind of motivate me to bring some happiness along with me back home, and there you go, pastries in a box with a baguette.

Well first off for the baguette, it was actually really nice but the unfortunate part is that after storing it one day later, this baguette is hard enough to use as a base ball bat, I nearly broke my bread knife with it, (I am serious too)

Other than that, I think I really love their chocolate eclair and also their lemon tart, which is supposed to be one of the star buy, I know for sure I am going back for their really lemony tart, and also the ricotta croissant.

Perhaps I will just go beyond these next time and try something new to perk up my day! 🙂

P.S. by the way, if I am not wrong, this place co owner is Daniel Ong and his wife, and they are opening another store soon at vivo city, I saw it when I went to Jamie’s, Vivo is another new place to explore. 🙂
