Hi there

Baja Fresh Mexican Grill from USA is here!! I am already rubbing my hands and also my belly just thinking about it. haha..

Started in the 90’s, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill feature all fresh, traditional fire grilled Mexican favourites in the US and have over 250 outlets in the States, and before you say what about Singapore, it is already here!

So glad that I tried it out today for lunch and the place was bumping and surely it didn’t disappoint 🙂

Located at the corner (used to be Coffee Club) and right next to Seiki Japanese Restaurant at Hotel Rendezvous, sits this new Meixcan grill fast food joint, if you are someone who loves Mexican food like Tacos, Burritos, or even just Nachos or Guacamole, this is the place for you, no frills fast food. 🙂

Okay, don’t you sometimes miss Taco Bells? I miss them sometimes when I passed by KFC, where they usually share the outlets with, so I am really over the moon when I saw Baja Fresh is in town, finally a new joint for Mexican food lovers like me and my family.

When I was at the shop during lunch, there were already lots of foreigners and office people there, great food news spread like wild fire indeed huh. 🙂

Baja Fresh Meixcan Grill at Hotel Rendezvous - nachos chips

All sets comes with Nachos, rather than french fries, yes of course, its Mexican, so it is rather refreshing to have this as a side kick, what’s better is that there is a whole bar full of dipping sauce and salsa to choose from.

All the salsa and dipping sauce are kept in cold ice to ensure the sauces doesn’t goes off, and all are free refill and so tasty too!

Baja Fresh Meixcan Grill at Hotel Rendezvous - salsa and jalapeno spread

The salsa bar comes with 2 hot flavours (one is like chili sauce & the other is like a blended salsa which I like best), 1 medium spicy flavour which is rather blend and also the non spicy which is freshly cut tomatoes with corriander and onions, refreshingly tangy and every pieces is like melody to my palate, so very addictive.

There are also jalapeno and corrianders and also slices of lime that you can squeeze and drizzle all over your tacos! 🙂

Baja Fresh Meixcan Grill at Hotel Rendezvous - nachos with grilled chicken breast

I immediately know what I want to order and definitely is the Nachos with grilled chicken breast and the order turn out to be a spot on!

It has generous portions of smoky grilled flavoured chicken breasts, chopped tomatoes, mexican beans and my favourite sour cream and guacamole, every thing just tasted so fresh and binds so well with one another! I was really enjoying my meal and happily putting all ingredients onto every nacho chip, yup it took a while for me to finish, but its worth it. 🙂

Also their chicken are claimed to be never frozen and fire grilled, so your order are ensured to be of top quality.

One portion of nachos is rather large, so it is good to actually share it with somebody, add on the drinks which is in really large sizes and also the nachos sides, you will get a really satisfying meal. 🙂 The nachos are regular restaurant white corn nachos which is not as salty because the rest of the ingredients give it a very nice balance and a perfect dish to pig out.

Baja Fresh Meixcan Grill at Hotel Rendezvous - quesdillas

My lunch buddy ordered Quesadillas (prounouced as Kay-sa-dee-ya), toasted tortillas with juicy grilled steak slices in it and goes so well with the melted cheese in it. 🙂

I really wanted to try out the Fajitas (prounced as Fa-He-Tas) too and everywhere I see people seemed to be ordering the Tacos and also burritos! 🙂

Overall I like this place a lot , something new to the fast food scene, you can get quality Mexican food, although the price is slightly steep, almost restaurant prices for other cuisine as a matter of fact, the quality is there, and the fresh salsa and guacamole is to die for, definitely going back for more.

And if you are familiar with the Mexican food scene in Singapore, pricing sometimes can get a little too steep, so this is a really cool place to hang out if you have that nachos cravings.

If you want to check out the menu, I have here all for you so you can plan what you will order next time 🙂  by the way, below Cilantro is actually corriander which people usually called in the States 🙂

Service was prompt but at the same time can be mind boggling too if you order for the first time, because there are many combinations and add on you can do to your combo meal. But once you get the hang of it, it is a breeze. 🙂

However one thing I wish they could have is some desserts, in the States they have Double twisted Churros with Cinnamon Sugar, and it will be really great if you can end this meal with a sweet note. 🙂
