Once upon a time there is this guy who called Bill Granger who lives in Sydney, got dropped out of school and venture into the food business scene and got numerous awards for his simplistic yet contemporary food. ย And what attracted me was that people actually voted his restaurant Bills’ breakfast as The Best In The World.
It is quite impressive how he managed to opened even more outlets in UK and also in Japan and in 2013 in Hawaii. So this time round, managed to visit the Omotesando outlet to try out the Best Breakfast In The World ๐
Managed to arrive early but still need to queue at least 2 hours, it was good they have a queuing system whereby you can shop around then come back at the time promised, because in Japan, you usually queue until you get the seats.
Now come to the food, just what they are famous for is definitely the Scrambled Eggs and the Ricotta Pancakes. ย But I could not resist to try out their Bills granola, yoghurt and fruit compote to whet my appetite.
The granola is so fragrant with that nutty flavour, its like party in the mouth in every bite, and while the fruit compote give this really refreshing tang to it, married to ever cream yoghurt, it is like the best breakfast marriage combo ever!
Now comes the heavy weights, the scrambled eggs, it is not called world famous or voted the best in the world for nothing. This is truly one of the best scrambled eggs I have ever tried. It has that buttery flavour that is although not over powering on the palate, but it has this really deep flavour to it, you can actually really taste the eggs and buttered intertwine, and scoop it up with the toast given, I am in cloud nine.
And my best breakfast cannot end there without the really really world famous Ricotta Pancakes!! Yeah!! This ultra light pancakes as what the name says made with Ricotta cheese, so you can pretty much imagine how good it is. It is a little spongy, not the dried up pancakes that you sometimes eat at restaurant, a good 1 cm thick which gives you ample bite to it and because it is using Ricotta cheese, you can taste that light captivating flavour in it.
Drizzle in the maple syrup, with the butter and banana, now I have just escalated from Cloud 9 to Heaven. I rest my case. ย ๐

So if you do visit them in Sydney, UK, Japan or even Hawaii, please remember to try these out, and experience the Best Breakfast in the World experience. Oh they also serve lunch, but when I went there during lunch, I still see the same menu every where, most people ordered the pancakes and eggs and share around, but I will still make it a point to try out their lunch and dinner next time.
