I have been eyeing this dessert place for the longest time, because it is quite far from both where I work and stay, I didn’t get to try it out.
Then one fine day, I was tasked to source for some party stuff and that brought me to Bugis+ where I can finally enjoy this mouthwatering dessert.
It looks promising enough when I went there, because as usual it is packed. I love the chewy bubbles so I make sure I get an order of their Blackball signature in crushed ice or you can also try other types which is Hot / Cold / Warm.
It basically comprise of elted grass jelly, yam dough, golden sweet potato dough, yam balls, sweet potato balls, red bean and pearls, wow, that is really some filling stuff. 🙂
I ask them to lessen the sweetness so that I won’t get an overdose of sugar high.
As I take away instead of eating at the shop so that I can ask my mum to try it out too, the crushed ice already melted quite a bit after I reached home. But I love the melted crushed ice as it is in winter melon flavor. I also like how can control my combination in every mouthful too, unlike bubble tea if I add more than one toppings, you don’t really get the balance of toppings
The only thing that I thought I find it so so is the sweet potato and taro Q, as I prefer the real thing, because I find the blackballs will be sufficient.
