If you have seen my Kids summer popsicle recipes yesterday, you probably know I am on the ice cream trail lately. 🙂
So with the objective of defeating the heat in a fun way, I was on the prowl for some good ice cream which my son and I can enjoy at home. 🙂
While doing my daily online coupon check, found Groupon was selling Breyers ice cream whic his from the States. You don’t really see this brand here in Singapore, and it was my husband who pointed out to me that it has been a long time since he last tried it.
And what’s better than find a new flavour of ice cream? Its 2 unique flavours and my biggest temptation yet, Reese’s ice cream!
Don’t you find Reese’s has taken singapore by storm ever since Resort world sentosa opened the Hershey’s candy store? And of course Oreo household name of chocolate biscuits, the ultimate Cookies & Cream ice cream. 🙂
After picking them up from Groupon at Suntec, which comes with a cooler bag, my family and I happily bring them home.
Opening the Oreo Blasts! ice cream, and you will be greeted by large chunks of oreo cookies! Taste wise, I would say the vanilla ice cream is a little bland, I always thought ice cream in the States will taste sweeter as most Americans have a sweeter palate.
But this just prove me wrong. The oreo cookies although was generous but because it was immersed in the ice cream, it kind of bland not just taste but texture as well into the vanilla ice cream.  I guess it is also not difficult to mix oreo cookies into vanilla ice cream, but of course if you just want a quick fix, this should do the trick.
However, if you want some real stuff. Try the Reese’s Blast. Peanut butter ice cream has never tasted so good. Whenever I go to RWS, I will definitely drop by to buy some of these Reese chocolates, and now with the combination of both ice cream and Reese’s, make my knees weak. haha..
You can instantly get caught in the toasty peanuts aroma, chocolate fudge swirl with chunks of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in it, this is a must have for fans of peanut butter. 🙂
Every mouthful is so satisfying, a tango between savoriness from the peanut butter and sweetness from the ice cream and chocolate. Just one scoop in the mouth and I am hooked.
I am pretty sure quite a lot of people have taken this opportunity and purchased a few tubs back home, so if you see this deal again next time, do check out the Reese’s flavour. 🙂
