I saw this at Cold Storage the other day, and just couldn’t just walked by without getting it. I just have this imagination like people drinking from their Starbucks coffee, while I drink my Campbell’s soup, yup, sometimes mummy does go a little kooky. 🙂
As what the label says Soup at Hand. It literally mean it. All you need to do is jus to pop into the microwave and heat it up, and you will get some piping hot soup on the go. 🙂
One bottle can definitely satisfy your cravings or cure that hunger pangs before your dinner comes by. Great to have it in the office I must say, especially you are in those centralized aircon area where the temperature can be a little unforgiving.
Just take off the cap, and peeled open the alluminum foil.
Place it in the microwave on High heat for 1 & half min (stated by the container), but I did it 2 mins as I like soup that is really hot. You are supposed to leave it in the microwave oven for 1 min before tasting it.
As a precaution, they have indicated not to place the cap in the microwave oven, but the image of soup bursting in the microwave kind of scare me, so I have placed a piece of paper towel over it. Okay, I know this is just a little drama, but think of the after math, and my paper towel are all ready to release their full potential. 🙂
Heating up for 2 mins is a breeze. 🙂
Nothing explode in the microwave oven, which is good, and I got my piping hot New England Clam Chowder in just 2 mins.
Taste wise, it is creamy and flavourful, and there are cubes of potates and also small pieces of clams in it. I do not know if it is just a mental thing, but I find this version is not as thick as the tin can ones, not exactly run down, but just lighter, may be because you are drinking it out from this bottle, so the soup can’t be too thick to start off with.
All in all, it is really handy, and if you do not mind the price tag, you can stock up in your kitchen for those late nights OT. 🙂
