GREEN TEA CRAZE PART III – TSUJIRI GREEN TEA AT 100AM TANJONG PAGAR WITH 152 YEARS HISTORY

Hi there

My next green tea hunt brought me to Tanjong Pagar, actually this place was strongly recommended by my husband who accidentally found this gorgeous little green tea cafe. 🙂

This place is actually founded by Riemon Tsujiri, a veteran in the Japan’s tea industry and this tea house from Kyoto boost a legacy of 152 years old too!

Tsujiri Green Tea Cafe

The corner cafe can sit around 20 pax, and I personally think that if the place is a actually quite tight, because between tables, you don’t exactly has your own personal space, and you can definitely hear what the people in the next table is talking, which is not that relaxing.

However, all is compensated by how good their beverages are! 🙂

GREEN TEA CRAZE PART II – NANA GREEN TEA REVIEWS & MENU – SURPRISING SUPERB JAPANESE RICE FROM GREEN TEA JOINT

Hi there

My next Green Tea Craze brought me to Nana Green Tea. When they have opened their first outlet at JCube, Nana’s green tea has a decade old history and has quite a few outlets in Japan.

I was there and managed to try out a takeaway green tea. It tasted good, and I remind myself to try out their crepe. But as it is so far from my home, I didn’t get to try it. However, with Plaza Singapura reopened with the new wing, I am able to go to Nana Green Tea now. 🙂

The menu seemed to have changed, because I don’t see the crepe that I first saw, if you want to check out Nana Green Tea Menu, you can viewed it at the bottom of the post. 🙂

Their menu covers pretty much noodles, rice, sushi and appetizer, easy prepared food, which fits the whole cafe feel and fits my weekend home cooked menu too. 🙂

But first,  how can I not get their Matcha Latte, it has become a must have for me these days if I go to a green tea joint.

GREEN TEA CRAZE PART I – MACCHA HOUSE ORCHARD CENTRAL REVIEWS & MENU

Hi there

I not not going to lie, I have seriously fallen in love with Matcha cafe lately. Although I am not a person who loves any milky drink, but once I tried on my first Matcha latte, I am so hooked, and so I began my happy hunt on all green tea cafes in town. 🙂

One of the one which is somewhere to where I work is Maccha House which is located at Orchard Central, it was only opened since mid December 2012, and have quite a good crowd there during lunch hours because they have some good lunch deals. 🙂

Maccha House is a restaurant cum cafe where you can enjoy some lovely drinks all made of Matcha green tea, a new take to the traditional upmarket matcha green tea, besides they also serve some simple Japanese food like ramen, rice bowl and also some desserts.

All these photos you saw are from their lunch sets which is available during lunch hours on weekdays.  On average one set that comes with one drink and main (if it is rice, there will be soup tag along), around $11.50. Pretty decent given the portion and also the quality.

GLACE PATISSERIE AT ICON VILLAGE – DOUBLE TAKE OF FLOR PATISSERIE?

Hi there

It was my mum’s birthday, so we decided to order our yearly birthday cake for her, every year we will try to either find a new flavour or new cake shop. So this year, we will go with a new flavour to one of our favourites. Mille-feuille aka the Napoleon cake. 🙂

Glace Patisserie at Icon Village

Mille-feuille has always been one of my favourite, and my favourite so far is still Flor Patisserie by Chef Yamashita. But this year my sister wanted to try something new and went for Glace Patisserie at Icon Village instead, as they have this flavour Banana Mille-feuille which was supposed to have pretty good reviews.

Glace Patisserie at Icon Village

The reason why we love Mille-feuille is because of the combination of thin pastry and cakes, layered overlapping each other, which gives creamy cakes a very light texture.

Hi there

Someone has been raving about the waffles and ice cream at Wimbly Lu, and I finally able to try it out, let’s just say it is not really a place I would go because of how inaccessible the location is, and you really need a car to find this place.
