I fell in love, head over heels with this Chocolate cake. 🙂
I stumbled at this place during one of my lunch outings, and have already bookmarked this place to be somewhere I will go to get my husband’s birthday cake. I like places where they are very confident in their one and only product and go all out to just get this across.
And this is just how Chocolate Origin is, originally their shop is at Changi but now they have opened another shop at 313 Somerset which is so convenient to get now. Yeah 🙂
Actually when it comes to Chocolate cakes, I personally like Awfully Chocolate and also Rive Gauche, both have this really good rich chocolate which is not very sweet. Especially Rive Gauche, where they have a crunchy base, its perfect.
But before I think that it is perfect, this place Chocolate Origin totally swept me off my feet. 🙂
This place sell only one thing – Good Old Chocolate Cake, oh well, they also branch to a new item with is ice cream with chocolate cake. But we will just focus what’s great here.
They have 2 flavours, Original & Dark. I checked with them and it seemed Original is more popular than Dark flavour. And for Dark Flavour, you will need to preorder as well. 🙂

For Birthdays, they have this cute colorful card to decorate, simple yet adorable. 🙂
Sorry for the not very nice cut haha.. we couldn’t wait for it, and just cut it before chilling it in the fridge.
However rest assure the cake is good in every way. I love how the chocolate they use in this cake, it has this slight saltiness which draws such a good balance of sweetness and savoriness in it. You won’t feel it is too rich although the texture is so velvety.
You know how some times you will get that feeling of too much of a good thing when you polish off one slice, I am serious, I kept going back for more. Every one in my family love this cake, and I defintitely can’t wait to get my hands on the dark chocolate flavour.
