My husband first introduced this highly addictive snack after I found out he has been sneaking to Fairprice to buy these for his afternoon slump at work.
Then while I was shopping at Shine Korean Supermarket, I found these packs of goodies but at a even cheaper price, so I happily snapping up all 4 flavours available. 🙂
Don’t undersestimate these little packs of pretzel because although they are small in size, they fully compensate it with big flavours.
After you opened the packaging, you will be greeted with the wonderful aroma of black pepper / honey mustard / cheddar cheese and tomato flavour.
Each bags come with enough broken pieces of pretzels that will pick you up from your afternoon slump. Texture wise, they are more on the hard side, as some pieces can be quite hard to chomp it down with your teeth. But this is just how we like about it, it gave it a lot of bite and the crunch is very addictive too!
Taste wise, I will simply but it this way :
- Black Pepper Flavour – Covered generously with black pepper, bold pepper flavour, the after heat lingers after biting in to it.
- Cheddar Cheese Flavour – Cheddar cheese is my son’s favourite, mild flavored and not salty, each piece is covered with this light cheddar cheese powder
- Tomato Flavour – Not tart but exudes this nice sweet tomato flavour
- Honey Mustard Flavour – All the women in my household’s favourite, there is some kick to the mustard, a little fiery but you snap right out of it as you finished, if my three year old son can eat this, you would know how the fiery factor will be 🙂 Party in the mouth indeed.
I would say this snack is rather clever, definitely something different from your normal potato chips, and I do wonder pretzel is suppose to be lower calories than potato chips, so it is quite clever to play on this notion of mindless eating.
