JAPANESE STYLE APPLE PIE – TAWAWA

Hi there

I was in Japan few weeks back and brought back another round of Japanese goodies. 🙂

Every trip I have a theme, and I think this theme revolve really around snacks like chips and apple pies, I was scouting for it at Isetan and got this really yummy packaged Japanese style apple pie. 🙂

As my husband loves apple pie, I will always look out for it when I am out, so it was a lovely surprise, as the fair was a snack fair that brought in many goodies from different parts of Japan.

I like how these 1 cm thick apple squares are not artificially sweet, it has a hint of tanginess and the thin buttery pastry is not overpowering, so you get to taste the true essence of the apple slices and puree in between. Love it.

How I wish I could have bought more than 1 pack. Huhmmmmm…
