JAVA DETOUR AT MBS CAKES REVIEWS – MRS FIELDS CAKES COLLECTION?

For anyone who has a sweet tooth, I guess you may be like me, whever you can you will check out any restaurants or cafes, and view their cake collection to see if there is anything interesting.

Well, for me, I walked past this cafe at Marina Bay Sands when I went to watch Wicked musical and after that, I just wanted something quick to bring for my family.

So overthere, I took away 2 kinds of cakes, one is Summer Berry Yoghurt ($7.50), and one is Chocolate Therapy ($7.50) .

They have many Mrs Field’s cookie sign, I wonder if they have anything to do with their brand.

The summer berry yoghurt cake caught my eyes because of how lovely the berry purple is in the windown glass cake collection.

Tastewise it has this distinct tangy flavour from the berries, I wish the bottom crust was a little thicker and firmer, so that it will gives it more bite, may be because I purchased it during the evening, so perhaps that’s why the crust was not ask crunchy, plus I kept it overnight in the fridge till for breakfast, so it didn’t taste as good as I thought it will be.

Next is Chocolate therapy 🙂 got it purely because of its name, therapy all from chocolate, that’s what I like. 🙂

However, it was also a disappointing redition of chocolate cake thou. I don’t think it was because it is overnight, because it was actually quite blend and just a tad dry. It will be excellent if this 2 points can up a notch. Given how lovely and rich the cake looks, I expected a little bit more.

They also have this Mrs Fields cookie shake, which I see diners order, looks great thou. Wonder how’s the taste.

If you are at Marina Bay Sands next time, may be you can try out this place and see if it is better than my experience.
