Hi there
Ever since I have bought this pack of Korean Jap Chae from Shine Korean supermarket, I have been buying it whenever I do go there. 🙂
You know how the fun starts when going to eat at a Korean restaurant, once you can see the array of multiple refillable small side dishes accompany with your mains?
Well if you have been trying to get your hands on it, then I would like to recommend you to get this next trip to Shine Korean supermarket 🙂
Of course you can cook it but if you have a few main dish or prepare BBQ meat at home, it will sure take the heat off by just heating this in the microwave 🙂
This frozen Korean mixed vegetables consist of potato noodles, capsicum, mushroom, black fungus, onions, carrots and sesame.
It has this very fragrant smoky flavour which comes from the green and red peppers. Accompany with the earthiness of the mushroom and black fungus, the sesame oil sealed all the token greens flavour.
The token greens and noodles ratio is about 40/60, so they are quite generous with the vegetables.
The black fungus and carrot slices gave it a nice crunch while the chewy potato noodles give it a strands and strands of delightful bite, almost addictive.
One thing though it can be a tad oily from the generous sesame oil flavour but if you are making it a side dish, you will definitely ask for more 🙂
Heating this up can never be more easy, it comes in a very sturdy microwave plastic and all you need to do is use a toothpick or something sharp, poke a few holes and pop into the microwave.
They recommend on high for 5 mins but I prefer 4 mins as I find the vegetables will not get a little dried up from the intense heat.
Once it is done, remove the seal, slurp and tuck in! 😀
Sometimes during clearance, you can even get it at the same price but one for one! That is really some good deal 🙂
Happy Snacking!
