MARKS & SPENCER SEA SALT & BALSAMIC VINEGAR CHIPS & BACON RASHERS PRODUCTS REVIEWS

Hi there,

Went to Marks & Spencer for some goodies clearance during their Marks & Spencer Sale, besides the tonnes of Halloween goodies that they offer, they already started their Christmas goodies range.

Cute looking Santa Clause chocolates & goodies are already out! During the sale, i spotted a few flavor of chips on sale and managed to score 2 flavors home. One is the sea salt with balsamic vinegar chips and the other is Bacon Rashers.

First off, I love vinegar and love the tartness of anything that goes with it. So scoring this home is like a little Christmas to me.

Marks & Spencer Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar Chips

The chips are hand cut which explain why it is not as light & crispy as other japanese potato chips, however it is quite rustic and taste fantastic if you have a sandwich to go with it.

Each pack cost $2.90, although there are not a lot in that small pack, you might be quite surprise that just a few pieces are enough to curb that chips cravings. As the taste is quite strong, you will start to grab a drink after that. No stale oil taste of any sort, each piece still gives you the satisfaction you need but I might not want to recommend to anyone who dislike sourish taste and tartness of vinegar as the flavor is quite dense, unlike the supermarket bought Lay’s chips.

I actually kind of like it as it is kind of a damage control to my calories intake! since I won’t be able to take so much in one sittings. 🙂

Having to said that, the other flavor I bought which is crispy bacon, is really the opposite to this.

Bacon Rashers

Inside are medium size flattened puffs with bacon flavor, you can smell the package bursting with bacon flavor once you open it. Each puffs has these tiny streaks of pink strips, kind of like replicating bite size streaky bacon.

Ok, so how does it fair? Not quite what they state on the bag – Full on Flavor. To me I feel it does not have enough kick, especially if I were to compare with the vinegar crisp. They still provide the light crunch and will definitely goes oh-so-well with a glass of icy beer, but at the same time, as it is quite light, you might end up polishing the whole bag so easily, just like how I did :)” but this going on sale at $1.90, so I am not complaining too much about it and something new compared to the supermarket chips.

They still have other extensive flavors to choose from, which you might want to try out too.

Happy snacking!
