Hi there
On my recent quest for some really good sweet mochi, I got another interesting flavour from Mediya Japanese supermarket over the weekend again. 🙂
These Black Honey Soy Bean Mochi was actually under clearance sale, the original price was $1.50 each but I got it at $0.50 each, not bad at all huh?
Each stick of Black Honey Soy Bean Mochi comes wrapped in a thin wafer paper which makes it so much easier to hold or eat.
So what exactly is black honey? Black honey which is actually a kind of Japanese sugar syrup is similar to molasses, is made of unrefined Okinawan sugar, these stuff is really good, although it sound like it has a whole tonne of sweetness in it, but you will be surprise just how subtle the flavour is.  However I don’t really taste the soy bean powder flavour though. 🙂
I thoroughly enjoy my mochi although it doesn’t strike as something interesting or tasty at the first look, even my son and mom loves it, which means these handy mochi stick are good for the young & the “older” haha…
Happy Snacking!
