QUICK AND SIMPLE KIDS PIZZA RECIPES – KEEP THEIR LITTLE FINGERS BUSY

Hi there

Its weekend, and you are probably very tired from your Monday to Friday work week, and can’t wait to just slump into the sofa and take a rest, but this is also probably the time when your little ones will just jumped out and wanted you to play with them.

Kids Pizza Recipes

Yup.. this sounds all so familiar to me, hee hee.. but if I could think of some cooking session for my son, it usually will get him all excited and he will just get to “play” with his food and both of us will end up with a very nice meal to munch on too. 🙂

So what’s better to do with your kids than to make some delicious yet healthy snacks? I love the idea of Kids Pizza, because you can prepare vegetables and cheese and for picky kids, they will still tempted to eat it since they made it themselves.

Of course the process is fun too, my son likes to “play” with the food, like start counting how many strands of cheese or draw a smiley face using the tomato paste. 🙂

Thing will not get messy too, as long as you give them a pretty decent sized pizza base, I used tortilla in this case, because I do not even need to make the pizza base.

One of my favourite simple Kids Pizza Recipes involve :

  • Tortilla x half (you can use flat bread, pita bread or even square white bread)
  • Tomato paste or Ketchup
  • Mozarella Cheese, sliced ones or the those comes in strands
  • Spring Onions, choped finely
  • Baby Tomatoes x 3, deseeded

What your kid need to do, is just spread the tomato paste across the tortilla, then sprinkle randomly their ingredients, of course it is always good to encourage them to put in more greens and tell them that the green will make it look even nicer. I don’t know, my son usually agrees with it. 🙂

Once it is done, just pop into the oven and baked it until it is crispy, as I do not use any meat in this recipe, I serve it once the cheese are melted.

You can also play around with any other ingredients, like corn kernels, carrots cubes, or even just crack some quail or regular eggs in the middle to make it an even more satisfying snack. 🙂

Cooking with your kids do not need to be a chore, as long as you can experiment different variety of produce or let them have the exposure on various food, they will appreciate more than anything as they can spend time to bond with you and have a good snack therafter. 🙂
