QUICK & SIMPLE RECIPE IDEAS – GOURMET PIZZA RECIPES

Hi there,

Since I have been having some cravings for wild rockett & pizzas, decided to do a post on quick & simple recipe ideas , making gourmet pizzas. It is so quick & simple, you can prepare it anytime as long as you have an oven at your home.

As crispy thin base pizza is on the rage right now, I have come up with the recipe for it, it is so simple and better still no need for any dough preparation.

Pizza Ingredients

For ingredients, it is really flexible, the bare minimum you will need is as follows :

  • Tortilla wraps (you can get plain or garlic flavor, I usually get the one that is on offer :))
  • Tomato paste (you can get pasta sauce or even ketchup)
  • Salami / pepperoni (or any kind of toppings, I recommend one main savory ingredients for any kind of pizza flavor)
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Wild Rockett (as I like that bitter sensation which compliments most savory dishes)
  • Figs (I love this seasonal fruit, especially after cooked, the sweetness is irresistable)

Ok, as I got my hands on some Turkish figs, I will fully exert their potential! Actually I think Faiprice is selling it as well, as it is in season, you can use this or even other vegetable mix or tin can pineapples too.

Figs

Preparation :

  1. Use 1 piece of tortilla wrap
  2. Spread some tomato paste on it
  3. Sprinkle a little cheese over the tomato paste
  4. Sprinkle some toppings on it (Hawaiian / meat lovers / vegetarians / margarita)Uncooked Salami & Figs Pizza
  5. Sprinkle more cheese over it
  6. Pop into the oven at high heat (I use 220degrees top layer heat for 1 – 2 mins until cheese are melted)Pizza in Oven
  7. Place some wild rockett over it, drizzle a little of olive oil (optional)
  8. Tuck in! its really that simple.

I also use the balance rockett & figs to make a side salad, drizzle a little of roasted nut dressing or vinegrette and you are all good to go.

That evening, I cooked some pepperoni pizza and also seafood pasta, all the ingredients cost me less than $20 and fed a whole family with excess for tomorrow’s lunch. So do try out this recipe, as it is delicious & hassle free.

Pizza Combination

For the remaining tortilla wraps, I used it to make a breakfast pizza that include philadelphia cream cheese, salami (u can use bacon) and one egg. A hearty wholesome breakfast that only require an oven to cook, save time on those dishes too.

As this recipe is so simple and fuss free, you can indulge in this at anytime of the day, may it be a morning breakfast or late night snack or just a main meal, just create your own favorite flavor and have fun with it 🙂

Happy cooking!
