I have always been a big fan of chestnuts, may it be the cantonese chestnut soup I use to drink when I was in Macau, or all those irresistable chestnut desserts and steamed rice dishes I tried in Japan, this is one kind of ingredients which I can never get tired of.
And when I saw this, I knew I got to check this out. 🙂 Although so far my favourite Mont Blanc is Flor Patisserie by Chef Yamashita. Lately many cake shops are using this ingredient liberally, and I got a few more new place to check out. 🙂
This cake comes with traditional vanilla layered with smooth chestnut filling and whipped cream, finished with chestnut cream and japanese chestnut… ah.. pure bliss.
