Chocolates the main staple for all Valentine’s Day occasion, and one of my favourites is no doubt Royce Chocolate from Sapporo Japan.
I like that its chocolate is a little more cutesy and taste great, and the packaging also plays a big part. Of course, the affordable pricing is another big draw too. π

Royce has a huge range of products to choose from, literally. From dark chocolate to milk chocolate, liquor with or without and from pure chocolate and nama chocolate (fresh chocolate), to chocolates with nuts, with fruts, with wafers, even with potato chips!
I have always been a fan for Royce products, having a sweet tooth makes me the easiest target to stock up on their delicious chocolates. I like their nama chocolates which comes in various flavours, these are fresh chocolates made of fresh Hokkaido cram which need to be chilled, even when you purchase it from them, they will give you ice packs to chill it along the way. Flavours include Au Lait / White / Champagne / Bitter / Mild Cacao, all at $15.
Okay, for tidbits franatic like myself (yes, a tidbits franatic with sweet tooth) you will get to enjoy both worlds of potato chips and chocolates, I really wonder how they can come up with this, but apparently this flavour has been around for quite some time, and there are definitely die hard fans out there who just can’t get their hands of this, sweet and savory treat. π
Comes in 3 flavours, Original/ Caramel & Fromage Blanc (cheese flavour), all at $15 each.
Other great inventions by them will be marshmallow chocolate and Baton Cookies. I have tried their Baton cookies too (okay basically I think I have already covered most flavours of chocolates they have), It taste great, and both coconut and hazel nut flavours goes really well with a cup of hot tea. Price at $12.5 & $15 respectively.
And my biggest draw from the pack, almond chocolates, my weakest spot of all. π At $12.50 for each Black / Milk / White chocolates, or $26 for 3 flavors.
Milk chocolate bars and liquer chocolates for those who like a little depth to their chocolates? Price from $7.50. π
If you like wafers, you will not miss their chocolate wafers too. At $15 each, wafers coated with chocolates, add crunch to every bite.
As to all green tea lovers, check out their green tea chocolate delights. Beautifully made with crystal green color. A feast for the eyes too. Price range from $12.
If you want a bit of everything, goes for their mixed pack but price will be at $50 and $72, perhaps to the bosses? π
Fruity chocolates that comes with various fruits and nuts fillings, crowd pleaser as always. π Price at $20 from a choice of Orange / Cranberry / Blueberry / Macadamia.

To whom it my concern,
As a company I think Royce takes advantage of unsuspecting customers, for example. Picked up a special box of chocolates for my wife on Valentines Day which cost me $100.00 by the way the Brunei shop. 1/3 of the box was paper filling the rest was 1/2 leftover Christmas cookies almost all of that was kids stuff. So this is what Royce is all about, I had hoped for a quality product to rival my experience with Godiva and instead I got ripped off. Needless to say I won’t be back.

So far in Singapore, we managed to get good service and products from Royce, so honestly I am quite happy with the chocolates I have bought from them. I would say Royce is slightly different from Godiva, be it the price or the style of their chocolates, but I hope if there is any chance in the future, you will give it one more try.
