Hi there
If you have read my previous post about Sophie Bakery, you will know that I am a huge fan of them, and my oh my, am I not in a lot of trouble of what, I finally got to try out their Macaroons, and I have never looked back. 🙂
My husband got me several Sophie Macaroons and I got to try out Chocolate, Lemon and Pistachio flavours.
All of their macaroons comes in light pastel lovely colors, which is a good start because sometimes I can get a little freak out by how vibrant some macaroons are and there just goes all the coloring in there.
Their macaroons have just the right texture, light feathery with a hint of chewiness on the outside, and the velvety fillings just strike the perfect balance. Chocolate flavour is good, and pistachio  flavour gave a nice nuttiness to it, but what really blew me away was the lemon flavor, I can officially declare this lemon macaroons are the best I have ever tried.
The lemon flavor was so tangy and instantly perfumed your palate with that burst of citrus essence. The contrast of the sweetness of the macaroons with this tanginess is really indescribably good!!
And what is even better? The price of these little gems are only $2 each, which is a steal given the size, correct me if I am wrong, decent macaroons these days cost around $3 each which sometimes I feel day light robbery especially when they comes in mini versions, but these are good size and at $2, I really think for macaroons lovers, time to make way to Sophie. 🙂
