Hi there
Lately my husband and I have been ordering Tako wasabi everytime we see it on the menu when we visit a japanese restaurant. It is basically octopus sashimi with preserved wasabi pickles in it.
These usually doesn’t come cheap thou, its a good $10 each small plate as appetizer, but goes very well with some cold sake.
And when I see this at Isetan scotts, I gave it a try since it is a much cheaper version, and the portion is much more too! 🙂
Flavour wise, as it is not really raw octopus (because it is kind of preserved in some way), it is not as crunchy however it still gives a good vinegar flavour and goes well just some hot steam rice too.
