Hi there
My mum loves jam and I usually will make some home made jam once or twice a year together with some cheesecake.
When we go travelling, we will also head up the local supermarkets and see what kind of jams it is available.
This TeHoro Jam which is from NZ comes in a big tub that kind looks more like cooking sauce than jam. 🙂
It has a more gelatin form rather than the syrupy ones which I prefer, but nevertheless I did find an alternate way to use this. As I like jam with fruits bits in it, this jam become a great companion when I use for cooking.
I used this to cook Japanese curry, marinates meats and glazing, which turned out amazing.
I also have these jam to be at my side when I cooked beer can chicken , after the chicken is done, I just use this jam as a dipping sauce, better than honey glazed. 🙂
Next in line, I am just going to use the blackcurrant flavor to make some desserts. Hee hee..
