Hi there
Today I have gone to Isetan to source for my Shabu Shabu ingredients and came across the West Japan & Kansai Fair, if you have been following SingaporeSuperamarketRecipes.com, you would have know my latest love for everything green tea. 🙂
And after trying the sample at Tsujiri Hee Honten, I just can’t resist the temptation of these gorgeous green tea sweets.
These Yamari Roll Cake comes in a gorgeous looking box, which is just great for giving out as gift.
Just a look of it, and you can imagine how happy the receiver will be. 🙂
The temp store is just right at the entrance of Isetan supermarket and they carry various types of green tea sweets. 🙂
They have warabi mochi, green tea soft roll, and the really really tasty green tea mochi as well!
As it is my brother in law’s birthday, I have decided to get this and decorate it with some birthday candles, as we wanted something different. 🙂
And just like all things Japanese, they are wrapped perfectly in vacuum pack and sitting nicely on a very chic box.
Each cake can cut approximately 5 to 6 slices of roll cake, which is just nice .
The soft cream in the middle are full of matcha flavoured, the cake is pillowy, and with just a little of red bean in between, this cake definitely will be loved by people who do not like their dessert to be too sweet. I love how the matcha has this really deep flavoured which just resonate and linger around, love it.
And this is the post decorated birthday green tea cake, haha… of course with the help of my son. 🙂
It was already night time when we celebrate, so I only got this photo left. As we had shabu shabu, so having this green tea roll cake was just the perfect way to end the evening. 🙂
