TSUKIJI OUTER MARKET – OYSTER GRAB OYSTER GO

Hi there

I love my oyster, and my favourite oyster is definitely from either NZ or Japan. NZ is because the fresh after taste while for Japan will definitely because of the rich creamy flavour.

fresh oyster from tsukiji

If you do visit Tsukiji, I will recommend you to try out buying some fresh oyster from there, and slurp it there on the spot too. In the wet market itself, you can find seafood stores selling oyster, and you pay either 300 yen / 400 yen / 700 yen / 1000 yen for different oyster from different parts of Japan.

The fishmonger will just splash some dressing on it and you get to try it on the spot. Imagine palm size oyster, I did hesitate and contemplate how to eat it at one go.

I love this whole experience and they will also prepare many rough cut sashimi with wasabi for you to try it out, you can definitely get it on the spot and just stand right next to the store to eat it. Love it especially when it is winter time, where the oyster is extra plumb and creamy and you can practically store hop to try out various interesting seafood. 🙂
