Hi there
Someone has been raving about the waffles and ice cream at Wimbly Lu, and I finally able to try it out, let’s just say it is not really a place I would go because of how inaccessible the location is, and you really need a car to find this place.
But I am glad to say this trip there definitely pay off. 🙂
Wimbly Lu is located at Jalan Riang which is somewhere at Serangoon, hidden among lots of landed property, this little quiet cafe has been quietly and steadily making waves.
The first thing which catches my eyes when I came to Wimbly Lu is the rustic and open concept design, day light shining through from the roof down to the cafe itself.
There is even a quiet children corner where the little ones can enjoy a story book or two while sitting one the children chair.
Wimbly Lu also sell lots of exquisite chocolate truffles as well, from what I know the whole concept of Wimbly Lu was brewed from the love of these chocolates that the owner tried when they were in france, and that’s how the concept begins.
Not forgetting is all the lovely cakes that filled up the whole counter 🙂
They also sell my favourite organic eggs too!
There is a small open kitchen concept which you can see the staff at work too.
Whereas at the back kitchen is where our waffles comes to life! 🙂
The decoration carries a certain old vintage charm, which makes you feel so at ease when you dine in there. Just like dining at a friend’s home.
See, now you know what I mean the sunlight shining through, gorgeous isn’t it?
At the counter, their assortment of cookies and meringue catches my eyes, I knew I got to try it, it has been ages since I have tried meringue.

Ah.. and here comes the prized items we all were waiting, a thick fluffy waffles, which is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, sitting nicely on a beautiful dish. Top it off is their dark chocolate ice cream, which they make from scratch. I swear this is really one of the best ice cream I have tried at a cafe.
Next is the rum and raisin flavour, almost equally good, but the chocolate flavours still win hands down.
As I mentioned I can’t leave the place without my meringue, I kept my word. 🙂
Not only that, I got some other stuff to accompany my purchase, rocky road cake.

And they very moist chocolate cake.
I have such a great time there, just chilling, even with my son around, he was also kept busy tucking into the dark chocolate ice cream and waffles.
I know the place is quite accessible but I am still itching to go back there to try their breakfast menu. 🙂 I will be back.
