When it\u00a0comes to\u00a0Lawry’s The\u00a0Prime Ribs, you probably know they are famous for their steak and their fabulous service. But did you know they also boast an unbelievably gorgeous hi tea sets too? I didn’t know until recently I chanced upon this<\/a>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

After trying TWG at Ion<\/a>, I have been wanting to try out other Hi Tea, but I didn’t feel like checking out Hi Tea Buffet, so I have been eyeing Hi Tea Sets, that’s why probably you have seen I have posted quite a few recently too. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The first thing that attracted me was the price, at $15++, you get to enjoy not 1 but 2 hi tea choices.<\/p>\n

You can choose 1 savory and 1 sweet plus a drink of your choice.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

When we arrived at Lawry’s,\u00a0there\u00a0were lots of tables have been taken,\u00a0and this place is really popular with Hi Tea.<\/p>\n

    Although their tea choices is not as extensive as as TWG, they will still delight you with their lovely brews.<\/p>\n

    You can choose either Finest Italian Coffee, Gryphon Artisan Teas,Soft drinks or Juices. And for us, we have chosen Grphon Artisan Teas because they habve such beautiful names with it. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n

    For savory items, we have chosen Bruschetta topped with Roasted Chicken with Tomato Salsa Sauce and Shrimp Quesadilla. The Bruschetta comes in toasted baguette with couple bite size each. The salsa goes well with the roasted chicken, it has a fiery tangy flavour, it is simple but comfort food for the afternoon. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    But what blew me away was the simple yet\u00a0excellent\u00a0Shrimp Quesadilla, I like quesadilla, but I usually goes with mushroom, chicken or plain cheese, so this is something I have yet to try.<\/p>\n

    The quesadilla comes in not toasted but more like nicely fried, with the shrimp fillings, it is sooooo good when you dip the quesadilla into the salsa. I was so tempted to just use my hand to dip in, haha.. but suddenly rememebered I have to eat it elegantly in this setting like a lady. hahaha…..<\/p>\n

    The restaurant settings will definitely put you in a perfect mood for hi tea and nice chats \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    As for the sweeets items,\u00a0we went for\u00a0Strawberry English Trifle & Fresh Tropical Fruit Plate with Chocolate Fudge. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    I was torn between either the English Trifle or Homemade Scones with Devonshire Cream, and I was so sure that I made the right decisions after just one bite. This trifle is packed with layers of sponge cakes, cream, liqueur and strawberries. It is AMAZING!\u00a0 Every mouthful is filled with the fruity fragrance of strawberries, and with that hint of liqueur and the cloud 9 sponge. I wish I am having it now! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n

    Next is the Fresh Tropical Fruit Plate with Chocolate Fudge, although this sounds a tad not very interesting, but wait till you see the simple yet elegant presentation of it. We love this dish.<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n

    The chocolate fudge that goes with it, with a sprinkle of pistachio nuts is a little salty rather than ulterly sweet, and every fruits slices is intricately cut, you will enjoy this every bite. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n

    Choose to sit next to the windows if you can, as you can gaze along orchard road while enjoying your hi tea sets.<\/p>\n

    <\/a><\/p>\n

    Over here, you can see tourist, locals, tais tais, and even some youngster enjoying it. At $15 a set, it is pretty affordable, given the quality of the food and I am sure I will recommend to those who want quality hi tea yet need not to break a bank for it.:)<\/p>\n
