I love mussels and clams, and will always venture out to see some new products in the supermarket to see if I can cook some vongole spaghetti or just some steam clams. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

My most favourite mussels has always been NZ mussels, since I spent a good 5 years there, I can tell you I can easily have these plump juicy mussels at least trice a week.<\/p>\n

Now back to Singapore, I still am able to buy some from places like Cold Storage but too bad it is quite difficult if it is for live mussels, however finally I found this amazing packaged mussels that is from Tasmania, and it totally got me all hook on it.<\/p>\n

So what is the best way to cook mussels, for me, nothing beats just steaming it with wine wine and garlic. Of course cheese baked, stew all are good, however it is just something about white wine steaming that brings out the true flavour of mussels and which I absolutely love.<\/p>\n

Ingredients for Garlic Mussels with White Wine include :<\/p>\n

\n
• Tasmania packaged live mussels x 1 bag<\/li>\n
• Garlic x 3 cloves<\/li>\n
• Chilli x 2<\/li>\n
• Onions x half<\/li>\n
• Coriander x 2 bunches<\/li>\n
• Lemon grass paste (optional)<\/li>\n
• White wine x 1 cup<\/li>\n
• Butter & Olive Oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

   <\/p>\n

  Directions are simple.<\/p>\n

  \n
  1. Just simply chopped up all the chilli, garlic, onions.<\/li>\n
  2. Sauteed in olive oil and butter<\/li>\n
  3. Pour in mussels mix it with the garlic mixture and pour in the white wine, steam for 3 mins in high heat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     This is really one dish that is quick to cook and so tasty to resist too. You can also always change the flavors like adding some chopped tomatoes. I always manage to drink the broth as well, pair it with garlic bread just like me and dunk the whole piece in there to soak up all the goodness. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

     Next time if I see these live mussels, I am pretty sure I will stock this up again.<\/p>\n
