I have finally landed at Table 24 after hearing my friends raving how good it is. So for my anniversary, my husband and I decided to check this place out, which comes as a surprise to me because this is supposed to be fusion and my husband is er… somewhat the traditional kind which prefers his food – non fusion. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Reaching there at 6pm was not a good idea, because their air con has not kicked in yet, and I find myself getting all warmed up for the wrong reasons, haha…<\/p>\n

But I must say I do like the decor of the restauarant.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

It makes me feel like I am in someone’s home rather than a proper restaurant, which I think is a good thing.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

I heard they also host some live music in this place as well, which should be quite cool.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Flipping through the menu, I believe most people would go straight to the $45 per pax 3 course set menu. Hassle free although you don’t need to bother to see if there is any price different, its about the same.<\/p>\n

Started off with some warm focaccia bread with olive and balsamic vinegar dip, yum, whet our appetite.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

And they do have a thing of serving a chef special for the evening. Tiniest portion you can properly expect but nevertheless, delicious, of course you will just crave more from that.<\/p>\n

I tried the oyster with watermelon pieces and this really really good! So fresh and refreshing with the watermelon salsa. Unbelievable! I could have wipe out half a dozen.<\/p>\n

Next is the dish that blew us away, it is the octopus salad, this is absolutely one of the best octopus salad we have tried, because the octopus was so tender and the dressing again was amazing! So definitely order this again when I come here.<\/p>\n

For my main, I went for the crab cakes, which to my standard is average, but as I wanted something light so I went for this, there are still good chunks of crab meat in it and it was seared nicely but somehow I felt it lack something, can’t really put my finger on..<\/p>\n

But my husband’s main pull us straight back from our doubts, the beef fajitas.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Slices of tender steak with a mean salsa, so tender and tangy, and the potato mashed although was served in a small portion was really good.<\/p>\n

We rounded up our $45 3 course meal with desserts. All desserts was excellent too.<\/p>\n

I think they put in quite a bit of effort to plate every dish, which kinda wows you in a fine dining but unpretentious way. The food are down to earth good and the pricing is also not over the top.<\/p>\n

Too bad I was not able to try the coffee ribs which my friends were raving about, but I believe their future new menus will still boost some pretty exciting dishes that I will look forward to. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
