Hi there

If you have read my post about Fortune food, which sell popiahs in many parts of Singapore.

You probably wonder if they are really good. Okay, now I have tried and tested it after many times of trying out during lunch. So I finally got their DIY popiah pack and see if I can both have fun and enjoy our home made popiah 🙂

For $22, you will get 15pcs, they give a larger portion than that, mostly I think because they worry the skills of “average people” like us will not be that good, and most likely need to test a couple before you are right on track. 🙂

The DIY set comes with a big box of :

Okay, this is how I rate the taste of each ingredients :

My family also steamed some lap cheong, savory chinese sausage to go with it, and everyone loves it very much.

My family also enjoy making the popiah as well, it kinds of a bonding session and you get to laugh at each other like how crappy their popiah looks like and making fun of the greedy one who want to make the biggest popiah of all. 🙂 Even my son got into action, so it was really nice.

Although taste wise, it can’t be compared to those like you eat at Qiji but at this price, I really think it is worth the amount I pay, we couldn’t even finish the DIY kit in one seating, and ended up with 2 meals for 3 people.

So overall, I will still get it again if I have a party or just a home gathering, but of course, with me, I will add in many more goodies in it. 🙂

REVIEWS : FORTUNE FOOD DIY POPIAH SET

Happy Cooking!

For latest news on restaurants, supermarkets, food fairs or simply check out some of my simple recipe ideas & reviews, please visit us at singaporesupermarketrecipes.com or subscribe to our mailing list for more details.

Cheers,

Dawn

Hi there If you have read my post about Fortune food, which sell popiahs in many parts of Singapore.
