Since Easter is here this weekend, I have promised my son to make another batch of cupcakes and this time round Easter cupcakes.<\/p>\n

During my last trip to Candylicious at resort world sentosa, I got some Robin eggs, little morsels of sugar coated chocolates with a malt filling and look exactly like eggs, which will come handy this time round as I wanted to make bird nest cupcakes.<\/p>\n

I was in the supermarket over the weekends and got myself a pack of all bran cereal which I think might do the trick \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

What I did was really simple, I just baked some chocolate muffins and let it cool. You can find the recipes here<\/a>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

After cooled down, I\u00a0finished the remaining instant icing from\u00a0last week. Just squeeze in circles on the muffin cake.<\/p>\n

There after my son and me just stick in all the all bran cereal into the icing to form a nest. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Last touch up was only adding couple of robin eggs into the “nest” and viola! You got your Easter bird nest cupcake \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taste wise, I actually enjoy this more than the one that has only icing because the all bran cereal give it a very nice crunch.<\/p>\n

The sweetness of the instant icing compliment the crunchiness and lessen the overall sweetness, easier on the waistline too.<\/p>\n

If you want to add more decorations, I suggest you can also use white marshmallow to make small bunny babies too \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
