If you do decide to stay at Festive Hotel or just any other hotel, you might just pass by this gorgeous looking cafe just at Festive Hotel.<\/p>\n

During our stay, I did some research and make sure I have some time to slot in some dessert tasting session at Boulangerie. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Boulangerie is supposed to be a modern patisserie which showcase various European pastry creations but with a twist. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They are popular with their macaroons, Summer Fruits Cheesecake, Cocoa Passion, Gelato and prices start from $5.60++.<\/p>\n

What’s different about them is that they drinks are all at a flat rate of $6++<\/p>\n

However this place somehow is always quite quiet so we were a little apprehensive to try it out but with the “might as well” thinking, we decide to venture the unknown with my son and mum and swiftly seated.<\/p>\n

One thing that I really need to highlight is their staff, I must say they are one of the best service staff I have seen for quite a while. Extremely courteous, willing or rather happy to recommend everything in details and even proactively do things before we ask.<\/p>\n

The waitress recommended us to try chocolate cake with a passion fruit fillings and also their famous strawberry pastry cake.<\/p>\n

You can pair your cake with your favourite drink at $6 for the drink so live a little and choose something interesting, if not you might just sulk if you find you are paying for a hot plain coffee for $6 while others getting a ice cold latte. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Their macaroons look so colorful and adorable in the showcase. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

This little cafe serve quite an extensive of snacks like quiche, pies, gelato, cakes, cookies, biscuits, sandwiches and light meals. The colorful decor is a big draw to me too. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I have yet to try out their gelato even though they look very tempting in every view, but for now I will just settle with my pastries. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Okay here is the low down of our taste test. Judging by the look, i could easily say they did pretty well, they play with color contrast and definitely looks very appealing for cakes lovers. And if looks aside, I would say I am not very impress with their rendition of heavenly European cakes with a twist.<\/p>\n

Petits Strawberry – $6.50 per slice<\/em><\/p>\n

I find the cake a little dry, I like cakes that are light and flavorful. If you have read my post you will probably know that my favourite cake shop is still Flor <\/a>which are really good in making this combination to happen.<\/p>\n

Over at boulangerie, there is just something lacking, it is rich but a bit overwhelming too so half way through it I found myself loosing my focus into finishing them up.<\/p>\n

Petits Cocoa – $6.80 per slice<\/em><\/p>\n

Drinks are nothing to shout about but managed to make my son happy with a hot chocolate and he doing his rounds of happy foam scooping. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Hot Chocolate – $6.00<\/em><\/p>\n

If you ask me if I will return to try, my answer will be yes but on the gelato and quiche just to see if these will fair better than those I have tried.<\/p>\n

All in all, if you wanted somewhere to chitchat and chill, this is a good place to do so, besides check in and check out time, the place is still a good chill out place. I have also seen quite a few diners too.<\/p>\n
