Pineapple tarts are many people’s favourite, countries like Singapore & Taiwan sell this tarty and sweet morsels of delicacies all year round.<\/p>\n

And just about when you think that you have tried the Singapore local version, there is this little outlet at Raffles Hotel, where you can get the very popular Taiwanese SunnyHills Pineapple Tarts. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\u00a0My first encounter to this SunnyHills Pineapple Tarts were from my colleague who went to Taiwan and brought these back, I gave it to my husband who is a big fan of pineapple tart and he said it was good.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But then I received this lovely box of SunnyHills Pineapple Tarts from a friend who got it from Raffles Hotel :), and the first thing that captivated me was the packaging, the very natural minimalist and effortless design, and you kind of feel like you were enjoying this piece of creation at a little cafe in Taiwan.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Obviously with outlet at Raffles Hotel, their target group is more to tourist or the upper middle class. But I guess that there are still rooms for classy pineapple tarts around in Singapore. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Apparently the pineapple used, come from BaGua Mountain in Central Taiwan which is harvested when sun ripened both naturally and organically. And the pastry itself is no other than premium NZ butter, Japanese gourmet flour and also the healthiest plump yolked eggs from local farm which has no additives or preservatives, therefore resulted in the natural flavour coming through.<\/p>\n

You don’t call this classy for nothing, from the packing down to the fine details of the individual wrappings with dry pack in it, all these no less than some good management of fine details. To ensure the pineapple tarts are in tip top conditions while you enjoy it \ud83d\ude42 they have indicated the baking dated and best by date which is approximately 3 weeks.<\/p>\n

Oh this product is also for Lact-ovo vegetarian too, which means this is good for vegetarian who although does not consume meat, they do however consume eggs & dairy products.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For $25 for 10 pieces, it is not exactly your usual Pineapple Tarts, so I do was really looking forward to this. They come in few variety of boxes too and this is supposedly very popular among Japanese here.<\/p>\n

  From what I know, you can also have your cuppa of tea there while savoring on these individually packed tarts.<\/p>\n

  \u00a0For the price you pay for these SunnyHills Pineapple Tarts, you can ensure freshness is guaranteed, every piece are firm to the touch and comes in quite a decent size. One finger pinkie length to be exact.<\/p>\n

  \u00a0Taste wise, it taste quite different from the singapore ones, it is less sweet and not as buttery too, pineapple fillings are generous and is at the right proportion compared to the pastry.<\/p>\n

  But as I personally like the “sunny side up” kind of pineapple tart and also sweeter pineapple fillings, I personally find these enclosed pineapple tarts just okay for my palate, as I find it can be quite dry half way through. If I were to just taste the pineapple fillings itself, I would say it is really the natural taste of pineapple, that tarty borderline citrusy flavour.<\/p>\n

  \u00a0Although tastewise, it does not appeal to me that much, but I am sure there are a lot of people who prefer more tarty pineapple flavour and will appreciate this, and this will definitely be a very good gift idea too. Come on, who would not love to receive this box of beautifully packed goodies. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
