Back in September last year, I have made a review of Medzs<\/a> on their set lunch, and now its about a year, and I am back to see if there is anything new this time round. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

They have 2 time slot for lunches now, one is Express lunch, which mean if you can pay your bill by 1230pm, you will get to enjoy your set lunch at $6.50 instead of the usual $7.50.<\/p>\n

The food stores at Medz at Orchard Central still remain the same, Italy, Greek, French, Turkish, Western, from salad to grilled kebab, to seafood galore, I stick to my $7.50 set lunch this time.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

These are some of the set lunch we have tried out, like Grilled Pork with rice… tasty sauce but pork cubes was a little tough, and portion can be quite small.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Turkish rice with chicken wings served with side salad… very nicely done chicken wings, nice smoky flavour to it.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Grilled Seabass with vegetables served with cream sauce…good for a light lunch some healthy greens and a piece of nicely done fish.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Seafood fettucine…. very tasty and satisfying portion<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Fish Pizza….a little strange to only find fish fillet on pizza but this turned out very light and crispy and filling too. \ud83d\ude42 Goes oh so well with tabasco.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Grilled snapper with vegetables… so far my colleagues and myself who tried this dish feel the fish was very fresh, and does not have any fishy nor muddy flavour for seabass.<\/p>\n

Portions can be just nice for one person for grilled items, but if you are intending to share or something more filling, then I strongly recommend you to get their set lunch desserts! \ud83d\ude42 Big fan of it.<\/p>\n

At the dessert section, you can find lots of desserts, we tried both ala carte and also set lunch desserts items.<\/p>\n

Of course their selection does not limit to cakes and ice cream, they also have meringue, churros,\u00a0waffles, pies, mousse and many more.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

This is the cake selection which gets me excited. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The pastry chef there\u00a0is so nice and couple of times we have been there, she still takes pride in what she do, and always tell us that she has put her heart in making the dessert and hope we like it, always give us a big smile, kudos for this attitude! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The ala carte which we ordered include this waffle with mixed berries compote and chocolate ice cream. The waffle is freshly made, you could not have it any better or any other way. Love this, sweetness of the chocolate ice crea interwine with the tartness of the mixed berries compote, lunch time heaven.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Other creative desserts we have tried include this mango fritters with condensed milk, sprinkle with fresh promegranate..Sinful yet so addictive<\/p>\n

Chocolate mousse with berries.. what you couldn’t see is all these chocolate mousse, cream, biscuits are sitting on a very plumb sweet strawberry.<\/p>\n

Passion fruit mousse cake… look at how beautifully decorated these desserts are<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

And my all time favourites.. Cherry Jubilee, this is by far the most impressive dessert I have tried to come with set lunch.<\/p>\n

Vanilla ice cream\u00a0placed on\u00a0a piece of fried filo pastry, sitting on a generous bed of cherries compote, orange rind and a sprinkle of pastachio, this is seriously good!!! And all for $2.50, I have to keep reminding myself that this is really some wonderful deal that need to be shared.<\/p>\n

By the way, if you want to get the set lunch dessert, remember to use the same card that you have tapped for the main course. \ud83d\ude42 For either $6.50 or $7.50, you get to enjoy a main course with drink of choice (ginger beer \/ coke \/ sprite), and just top up another $2.50, wonderful desserts that will literally tempt you back for more. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
