Isetan is having back to back 3 different food fair promotions at Iseta Scotts Japanese supermarket.

19 Aug – 28 Aug 2011 : Sanyo Sanin Food Fair

28 Aug – 5 Sept 2011 : Best Seller Food Fair

29 Aug – 12 Sept 2011 : Mid Autumn Festival Food Fair

You will get to try out some braised seafood like scallops, octopus & squid. Seaweed salad. The demonstration and sampling will ends at 7pm except 2 & 3 Sept which will end at 930pm for the Best Seller Food Fair.

As for mid-autumn festival food fair, you can try out the apple juice as well!

If you head down there, why not also try out some of the Japanese bread & cakes at the cake shop down at the basement. They have a variety of breads, like coroquette bun, or curry bun, sweet potato steam cake or green tea steam cake etc..

This year Mid-Autumn Festival will falls on 12 Sept and many malls will kick start their Mooncake Fairs from 29 Aug.

There will be many new creations available for sampling and of course the quinessential traditional mooncakes, I will be stuffing myself silly with my usual yam pastry with yolk, and double yolk with white lotus paste, but am also planning to test out some new creations like XO sauce with various nuts, preserved olives, scallops and Chinese ham, an interesting combination.

One of the highlight of this year Mooncake Fairs, are the assorted and wide array of beautiful mooncake boxes

For those who are buying mooncake for relatives or friends, these intricately designed boxes will be a delightful surprise to them, pairing it up with assorted mooncakes with some Chinese tea, lanterns, and gatherings, and you will be on your way to a very Sweet Mid-Autumn Festival ^^
