I like vinegar a lot, not just like taking it with xiao long bao or dumplings, but literally drink it. 🙂
You know how a few years back, there were some vinegar craze where people or rather advocate pointed out how good vinegar is, I am one of them, not because of what other people say, but it was purely base on how the effects was after drinking it.
Before I have my son, I used to drink a lot of this seaweed vinegar from Okinawa where I can buy from Meidiya or Isetan Scotts, one big bottle cost $30 over bucks but can last you for quite sometime, as you will need to dilute it with water before drinking. I usually drink it before I sleep rather than when I wakes up in the morning to promote good digestive system.
It all started actually by a Japanese program where they scrutinize the effects of vinegar, and true enough a celebrity guest who volunteer to do a test on it have her test results changed so drastically after one month of consumption. So that’s when I started drinking it. Apparently it is so popular in Japan that there are vinegar drinks (fruity ones, yogurt flavours, vegetables flavor) everywhere, even when you go there now, you can still see it in all convenience stores, where they state the recommended amount per pack which is good for a day. 🙂 My usual choice in the morning if I visit Japan.
Some of my Japanese friends also started to have clearer complexion as it clear your system and also cleanse your blood and they sweared by it too, well, anyway to me, I find it really tasty and do not mind that it also adds a whole lot of benefits to my body. 🙂
Although I have stopped taking it for a while, I started to crave on it again, and while I was browsing at Shine Korean Supermarket, I saw this cute bottle of vinegar for sale, especially with the word promegranate, I knew I have to grab it. 🙂
This vinegar comes in various flavour like berries, promegranate, blue berries etc, and as I love promegranate which is chockful of antioxidants, my target is just this flavour. 🙂
You can see it is a clear ribena ruby red liquid 🙂

- All in all, a very healthy drink
Making it into a refreshing drinks is simple, just add 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. Add ice or even a dash of lemon juice in it. I like this drink because it also does not taste heavily on the vinegar tartness, more like a juice actually, so for people who wanted to try out vinegar but worry they might not be able to palate it, this product might be a good start. 🙂
