I am a big fan of side dishes, even when my friends or colleagues wanted to go dinner party, we will choose places that serve good side dishes, that goes down well with the beer or sake. 🙂
And to take a twist, if you are at Shimbashi, you can ordered dishes like Soba Galette which is made out of soba powder to go with your drinks. Being able to try varieties of side dishes, hands down for me, compared to a huge serving of rice and cooked dishes.
