Daesskin Korean BBQ which is located at Nex and serve authentic Korean BBQ is located right in between Danjou and MOF, so you can easily choose your pick when you are there.
I was at there the other day to check out the pricing, and Dinner is only at $24.90++ even on weekend, that is really something to shout about, I have not check out the spread yet, but I m pretty sure I am going to do so soon! 🙂

Hi there
I like to prepare lots of appetizers at home and I can just eat it without even touching mains, you can also do that and it is very easy and also easy on the stomach as well too 🙂
As I do not like to grease up the whole home with BBQ meats, so I usually will cook up all in batches and then serve together. Like this mini party will be a beef party, so I bought beef tongue, karubi, slices and do up different variations of grilled meat dishes.
Hi there
I like vinegar a lot, not just like taking it with xiao long bao or dumplings, but literally drink it. 🙂
You know how a few years back, there were some vinegar craze where people or rather advocate pointed out how good vinegar is, I am one of them, not because of what other people say, but it was purely base on how the effects was after drinking it.
Before I have my son, I used to drink a lot of this seaweed vinegar from Okinawa where I can buy from Meidiya or Isetan Scotts, one big bottle cost $30 over bucks but can last you for quite sometime, as you will need to dilute it with water before drinking. I usually drink it before I sleep rather than when I wakes up in the morning to promote good digestive system.

Hi there
Over the weekends, I was ransacking the fridge when I saw I still have half a bottle of CJ BekSul Korean Spicy Chili sauce so decided to finish it off so I could have more space to stock up some of my new good buys. 😉
This CJ Beksul sauce can be found in Shine Korean Supermarket, when I go there to stock up, I will get all three Beef / Chicken / Pork at one go and they also sometimes have buy 2 at a promotional rate, for which I will stock up even more. 🙂
Of course you can use chicken as what it stated but actually this sauce is also good with pork slices. 🙂
Hi there
Occasionally I do indulge in instant food, which can be rather comforting per se, food like luncheon meat, instant noodles, frozen pizza or pie, etc. Of course too much of it is probably not that good, but I guess all these can be just life little simple indulgence – occasionally and this time is no different. My little indulgence brought me to instant Korean Seafood & Kim Chi Pancake 🙂
When I was shopping at Shine Korean Supermarket to stock up some Korean rice cake which I tried last time, I saw the interesting array of frozen food they have and one is the frozen Korean pancakes.
It comes in 2 flavors, Kim Chi seafood or just Seafood pancakes. Both will require you to heat up in a pan. I don’t think it is good to heat up on microwave as one of the most important aspect of if is to have it piping hot and very crispy with just the right amount of chewiness to it, and it can be hard to do it with microwave.
Hi there
If you are a fan of Korean food, you will probably be one of us who loves Korean rice cakes or Toppoki in Korean, those chewy pillowy rice cake, coated with Korean spicy sauce, bringing your palate to different dimensions of flavours in every bite.
I love Korean rice cake, its affordable, filling and best of all love the chewiness, it is just something about it, that is so addictive, the more you eat it the more you will fall in love with this dish, and of course best served while watching your favourite Korean show too! 🙂
I still remember vividly how my Japanese & Korean flatmates will have a Korean rice cake party during my schooling days, we called it Toppoki Party because this dish is so simple yet clean up is such a breeze, and everyone enjoy tucking in this huge hot plate for toppoki or Korean rice cake and just enjoy each other’s company. 🙂
And in my last visit to Shine Korean Supermarket, I saw this pack of instant rice cake, packaging itself says 3 mins is all it takes and it comes with this ready to mix packet sauce. So to get the all Korean theme going, I have happily used my Happycall pan to demonstrate this recipe. 🙂

Hi there
I was experimenting with my Happy call pan and thought I will try to cook a Korean dish using it.
Something that will make use of it’s potential will be good and that spruce me to make Korean bibimbap which requires crispy rice at the bottom of the claypot or pan and happycall pan was a perfect way to try it out. 🙂
If you do not have happy call pan, no worries, because you can replicate this using just any non stick fry pan too 🙂
This is a simple and quick Korean recipes because you need only one pan to cook, at most 2, if you want to quicken the process by blanching the vegetables in a separate boiling water.
All you need for ingredients include :
Hi there
Following the quick and simple recipe for Japanese savory pancakes called Okonomiyaki, this is the second part of the recipe, this time I am pairing it with kimchi to make Korean savory pancakes.
For Korean pancakes, to attain the best chewiness and crispiness, I will recommend you to buy the korean pancake flour which is selling in all major supermarkets. You can definitely know it is for Korean pancakes because you can find the pictures of some lip smackingly good panckes on the yellow packaging. 🙂
However if you do not have time to go and get the powder or you still have quite a big pack of flour yet to use, you can always use it to cook these really yummy treats. 🙂
