PURE PANDAN – CHIFFON CAKE THAT IS LIGHT YET BIG IN FLAVOR

I came across the Pure Pandan when I was on my way to Hong Lim for my lunch, it is always crowded with the office ladies getting a few slices, but then I found one branch at Chinatown point basement and decide to give it a try. 🙂

They told me that they use fresh ingredients for these chiffon cake, so these must store in the fridge and not overnight out. That’s how fresh it is, I got myself the pandan / citrus / banana walnut and durian flavor, each cost about less than $2. Banana walnut is just alright to me because I find the texture very confusing, light for the chiffon but walnuts which drag down the texture of the fluffiness.

Pandan is also good but apparently the best seller is the citrus lemon flavor, and I can totally understand why, it is really the tastiest amount the bunch, not even durian can beat it.

CALBEE SHISO UME POTATO STICKS – SHISO IS THE BEST

Hi there

You already know I love Shiso leaves, and the best combination with Shiso leaves got to be Japanese plum, so how do you think I will react when I saw these bad boys, my biggest weakness when it comes to potato chips and shiso leaves, ah.. there goes my run.

These Calbee stick has just the right amount of tanginess and the lovely green and fresh aroma of the leaves.

TOMATO FRUITY TASTE NACHO CHIPS – FRUITY SWEET OH SO TASTY

Hi there

After trying the Avocado cream cheese chips, I have been polishing these Tomato Fruity taste nacho chips too.

These comes in bite size but actually it did defeat the purpose, because I keep finding myself getting more of it, one after another.

How I wish they can also come up with mega size ones, so that I can enjoy it with large scopes of dips. 🙂

ONE OF THE BEST WASABI CHIPS I HAVE EVER TRIED

I bought this pack of Wasabi chips from Japan during my last trip because purely of the wordings it said on the packaging, some Hokkaido wasabi potato chips.

I love wasabi flavored, so there is no way I won’t try it. hee hee..

And the funny part is that the week after I returned from Japan with this, I actually saw the article on ST talking about reviews on this too.

JAPANESE LUXURY CHEESE CRACKERS FROM ISETAN JAPAN

I always cook these the luxurious Cheese Crackers because I bought it from Isetan Japan and they are individual wrap with unique flavours, compared to those we get from supermarket, hahaa… however all of them are equally taste awesome to me.

Many people loves the savory of these crackers, and I always get it from Mediya supermarket as well, either the cheese fillings or just rice crackers with seaweed.

TOKYO ICHIRAN RAMEN CHAMPION – TAKEAWAY & COOK IT YOURSELF RAMEN

If you have been checking out my ramen post, you will see I had some really nice ramen at Ichiran, which is very famous in Tokyo and Hong Kong. During that time, I thought I will be extra nice to my husband, so I bought their bring home pack, so I can cook it at home at my own time. 🙂

However, I accidentally got the wrong one, and instead of soupy ramen, I got myself dry ramen, which means is like mee pok, you cook the noodles then drizzle the sauce over it. I thought I was doomed!!! How can I eat ramen like that since the soup means every thing to me… And guess what, this disaster ended up with a fantastic result!!! Wohooo!!

My husband queued for this because he decided to do the unexpected, follow the locals to queue for popular food, which is usually a no for us, haha..

But I am quite thankful he did, because these are pretty good!

JAPANESE STYLE APPLE PIE – TAWAWA

I was in Japan few weeks back and brought back another round of Japanese goodies. 🙂

Every trip I have a theme, and I think this theme revolve really around snacks like chips and apple pies, I was scouting for it at Isetan and got this really yummy packaged Japanese style apple pie. 🙂

As my husband loves apple pie, I will always look out for it when I am out, so it was a lovely surprise, as the fair was a snack fair that brought in many goodies from different parts of Japan.

Japanese really have so much creativity that goes into the snacks and food, and one of them is my favorite potato chips. 🙂

Without fail, I will always buy at least 3 flavors of the limited edition or unique flavors, this time I got to try out Beef Tongue with spring onions flavor!?
