I have been going to Hooters for many years. It is an American casual dining restaurant where you get really great buffalo wings and Western food in a fun loving setting at Clarke Quay.
During evenings, the place is bumping with people who want to get their cocktail or beer and be merry. Usually it is also quite a common sight to see birthday parties or celebrations over there too. The hooters girls will come up with games and make sure all the diners have a great time.
However not many people know that Hooters has really great lunch set promotions to attract the noon crowd and you can usually see many families or groups of people watching sport with their beer and meal there.
Of course you will probably have to see pass those skimpy dressing waitresses with tongue in the cheek slogan plastered on the restaurant wall but all if these aside, bottom line is they still serve affordable and no nonsense good food.
I love their 911 wings with ranch and celery. And everytime without fail, we will always go for their lunch special which includes :
- One drink
- Soup of the day with garlic toast (for $15 set, but add $2.50 for soup & coffee/tea)
- Main course
- Ice cream
- Tea or coffee (for $15 set, but add $2.50 for soup & coffee/tea)
Their main course include :
- Black Pepper Steak
- Fried Dory Fillet
- BBQ Chicken Thigh
- Prawn Spaghetti
- Chicken Caesar
- Pork Loin in Robert Sauce & many more!
Lunch Hour Timing : 11am – 3pm Daily
For $10, ($15 if you want to swap your soft drink to a beer) it is practically a steal. Their portions are big enough to share too. We love their chicken Caesar salad, steak. Not so much for the pasta thou as I feel their meat dishes are the best. Oh and remember to try out their golden curly fries. Reminded me of the now defunct A&W but only better.
They also have this $15 set which comes with soup of the day and tea or coffee to go with your ice cream & main course.
Choice only have two : Chicken Breast with Pasta or Fish Picatta (pan fried pacific dory coated with cheese batter on red wine sauce, served with garden salad & curly fries)
If you go during weekdays for lunch, there is free parking so you won’t feel the pinch when you dine there.
