As what the heading is, this dessert pie really blew me away. My sister got this when she went to Philippines and for me I am actually not a huge fan of coconut pies, at most I will eat the hong kong style mini coconut pies, so to me I have this pre notion of how a coconut pie will look like. 🙂
But what I did not expect is just how coconut pie can be prepared in this way.
This lovely flaky pastry taste amazing after baked in the oven for a few minutes.
And the ingredients they use is so special too, they actually use the white coconut flesh and layered it up rather than using desiccated coconut to build up the flavours, so what you get is this really natural clean tasting pie, with a hint of fresh coconut in it. OH MY GOD! Just think about it, I am already salivating, it is that good!
So if you are visiting Philippines, remember to try this out and of course I am pretty sure the people around you will be quite ecstatic if they know you are bringing them back some. hee hee..
