Hi there

Takashimaya Mid Autumn Festival has already started since thursday, and I have already swiftly made my way there to sample some of the mooncakes which I am eyeing at. 🙂

Making my rounds over the mooncake fairs is still pretty okay, I guess the festive mood has not kicked in yet, but this might just be the best time for you to try out the samples they have and picked the one you like. 🙂

Participating outlets include :

  • Hotels – Conrad / Fairmont / Goodwood Park / Hyatt / Shangrila / The Fullerton Hotel / The Regent / The Ritz Carlton / Orchard Hotel / Sheraton Towers
  • Restaurants – East Ocean / Haagen Dazs / Paradise Inn / Peony Jade / Tung Lok / Royal China / Swatou / TWG / Crystal Jade / Fruit Paradise / Dragon Phoenix
  • Local : Bakerzin / Bengawan Solo / KooriMo / Four season durians / Juz Bread / Home’s favourite / Chop Tai Chong Kok / Cookie Museum / Obolo Amestyl / Yu Yan Sang / Eater Palace / Garden Pastry & Cakes / Kwong Cheong Thye / Tastegood
  • Overseas – Maxim / The Peninsula / Lavender / Venchi / Choi Heong Yuen / Emperor / Lai Thong Chinese Restaurant / Wing Wah Bakery

At the fair, I have my fair share of sampling, and I still stick to the Goodwood Park, which will be one of the mooncakes to buy this year.

However what really blew me away was TWG, yes its TWG, and they do mooncake too!

I don’t usually go for mooncake that have chocolate in it, however one taste of it and I totally head over heels by its flavour. All their mooncakes are infused with their tea and somehow all these was such a perfect match. You can also buy individually at $15 each or go for gifts which comes with tea too. 🙂
