Singapore Food Festival 2012 is coming soon! 🙂 From 13 July 2012, be mesmerized by the variety of cuisine this food festival is going to offer 🙂

What’s more? This year theme – Seafood Seafood & More Seafood! 🙂

Singapore Food Festival 2012

For the first time, there will be a Singapore Food Festival Village held at Waterfront Promenade at Marina Bay, there will be up to 50 stores showcasing local and international seafood like Chilli Crab, Butter Crab, Sambal Stingray & many more. Cooking demonstration will be available so that you can get a few tips on whipping up some of the dishes.

Paradise Group has also created a special platter which is named the SFF platter just for this event.

  • Supreme Seafood Fried Rice
  • Popular Chilli Crab / Creamy Butter Crab
  • Deep fried Coral Trout in Nyonya Style
  • Crispy Fried Prawns Tossed with Salted Egg Yolk
  • Stir Fried Live Geoduck with Asparagus in XO Sauce

Culinary Demonstration available on 14 / 15 / 21 / 22 July 2012. 7pm – 8pm & 830pm – 930pm.

    Canapés and Champagne are a heavenly combination – if you know how they should be put together! Our celebrity chef will demonstrate how to best pair champagne with canapés; he will also personally demonstrate how to create a selection of delicious savoury canapés before letting participants loose so they can have a go at making it themselves! But don’t worry if your canapés aren’t great. You’ll be enjoying a spread of professionally prepared canapés made with a mouth-watering selection of ingredients, paired with a selection of fine champagne. Heavenly match.
  • Majestic Feast
    Indulge in an imperial feast – featuring some of the best Chinese cuisine served in the imperial palace, but with a Singapore twist. Each dish will be paired with fine wine & spirits, while live commentary will provide diners with tasting notes. Expect a unique culinary experience with authentic heritage dishes flavored with local spices. Majestic.
  • Singing Tiffin
    Let our featured master chef bring you on a culinary journey to explore the different tastes of Singapore cuisine through a Tiffin Buffet. Be treated to a cooking demonstration on how to make your own Singapore Tiffin, before tucking into a wide spread of fine cuisine served in Tiffins! You can also bring back a souvenir Tiffin complete with recipes.
  • Soul Food, So Good
    Rewind to the good old days and share the history and flavour of good old soul food through a cooking demonstration & dinner by one of our nation’s top chefs. Learn how to cook forgotten recipes from Singapore’s melting pot of cultures, infused with the soul of the nation’s past.
  • Naturally Peranakan
    Learn more about the organic food found in Singapore’s farms and how to choose and prepare the greens. Embark on a hands-on, interactive journey with our celebrity chef to learn how to use organic ingredients to whip out Peranakan Favourites like Nonya Chap Chye.
  • Simply Seafood
    Learn about how to choose the freshest seafood, based on the colour, texture and smell. What’s more, you will also learn which cooking technique and recipes are best for each type of seafood!
  • Heartland Rules
    Experience the hustle and bustle of the neighbourhood wet markets as you can learn how to pick the freshest ingredients and whip up succulent dishes with everyday ingredients. Learn hands-on how to whip up iconic Singapore dishes like Chilli Crab, and get the chance to sample your own cooking over lunch with the celebrity chef and gain valuable feedback and tips.
  • Spice Garden Walk
    Stroll down the Spice Garden and refresh your senses! Through the walks, learn about the intricacies of spice and herbs used in Asian cooking. Explore and identify local herbs for medicinal use and also how to use the spices to whip up a flavoursome spread. By the end of the walk, you will be able to identify different species of plants and how to use them to achieve the best results in cooking!  You will be then invited to sit down in the tranquil Spice Garden to enjoy tea and snacks. Delightful.
