My comfort food lately has been mochi, and at Mediya Japanese supermarket, I saw this while browsing along the snack section.:)
These green mochi is called Kusa mochi, which is made of a type herb which gives the mochi the jade color and also a unique flavour.
you can usually find it with red bean inside, however, this one comes covered with kinako soya bean powder, which is even more delicious.
