TOKYO ICHIRAN RAMEN CHAMPION – TAKEAWAY & COOK IT YOURSELF RAMEN

Hi there

If you have been checking out my ramen post, you will see I had some really nice ramen at Ichiran, which is very famous in Tokyo and Hong Kong. During that time, I thought I will be extra nice to my husband, so I bought their bring home pack, so I can cook it at home at my own time. πŸ™‚

However, I accidentally got the wrong one, and instead of soupy ramen, I got myself dry ramen, which means is like mee pok, you cook the noodles then drizzle the sauce over it. I thought I was doomed!!! How can I eat ramen like that since the soup means every thing to me… Β And guess what, this disaster ended up with a fantastic result!!! Wohooo!!

I am not sure if you can get this from Meidiya but if you do, you got to try it out. πŸ™‚ I wonder why it took people so long to come up with this flavor, just like how corn chips are the heavenly pair with guacamole, they just need to add more omph and inject the cream cheese flavor… yummm…

Avocado cream cheese

I got this actually during my last min buy in the Japanese convenience store to buy my mum some Japanese instant coffee, I was mesmerized by the packaging and the flavor, Avocado Cream Cheese and Fruity Flavor.

GARLIC CHILI OIL THAT LOOK SPICY BUT JUST A LITTLE SPICY – ITS AWESOME

Hi there,

The first time I saw this was a Japanese TV show on channel 149 cable about the top 10 toppings for Japanese to put on hot steam rice, yup, there are weird ones but mostly really good ones, and guess what this bottle of chili oil is top of the list. πŸ™‚

The funny part of it is everyone only remember the creative tag line and this literally becomes the brand –Β look spicy but taste little spicy garlic chili oil.

This chili oil is so versatile it is crazy not to have it at your home.

If you are looking for pungent downright garlic chili, this might not be your cup of tea, this has a fairly mild taste but it goes really well with ice cold cucumber slices, steaming hot tofu, and of course hot steam rice.

If you find it troublesome to even cook the tofu, do it the Japanese style, cold tofu serve with this and spring onions. There’s no going back.

The garlic pieces in it add the crunches, and I also added this chili oil into the sesame dipping sauce which I made for steam boat use. Equally satisfying…

The last time I saw it was selling at Meidiya, but I got my first bottle at clearance and it cost like around $5, and in Japan, I got another bottle, I saw they have 2 versions, one with chili oil and the other is more of the garlic pieces in it and lesser oil, can’t wait to try it.
