SEKI JAPANESE RESTAURANT AT HOTEL RENDEZVOUS – SEEKING FOR PERFECTION?

Okay, here is always the problem, sometimes when a restaurant got so hyped up and you see media’s reporting, you will tend to have high expectations right? And if the food was not as what you expect, then your expectation will just drop way below what you normally thinks is okay.

And my visit to Seki is just exactly a re run of this experience. After seeing so much media attention placed on Seki, I was really all pumped up and looking forward to dining there. So of course, since its pay day 🙂 several of us decided to visit there.

Seki is located at Hotel Rendezvous, Hotel Rendezvous has just refurbished and I must say it looks so chic now! Every part of the building exudes elegance with modern decor. Love it.

WATAMI JAPANESE RESTAURANT SET LUNCH REVIEWS – ONE OF THE BEST SET LUNCH AROUND

If you have read my other post about Watami set lunch menu , you should know by now that Watami Japanese Restaurant at their The Central Clarke Quay branch has this set menu promotions that run daily unlike other branches, which only serve during weekdays.

So over the weekend, while on my way to check out Hokkaido Fair 2011 at Meidiya Japanese supermarket, I have decided to visit Watami for lunch, as you know many restaurants have set menus but usually are only for weekdays, so for Watami, which has their set lunches run over the the weekends as well, is really convenient for my family.

I believe many people also think so, because even thou we are the first one that patronize the restaurants, the crowd starting to develop, and soon, the whole restaurant was already full.

I was at Northpoint the other day meeting up with friends to have dinner at Menichi.

Menichi takes pride of its tonkotsu soup which is boiled for 14 hours, to get that pure essence from pork bones, chicken bones and vegetables.

DAIKOKUYA RAMEN – MY VILLAGE SERANGOON DINING EXPERIENCE

Hi there,

Was pondering where to have dinner the other night, and decided to go to Serangoon Garden as I have not been there for ages. Saw some posters a few weeks back at Serangoon station annoucing the opening of My Village Serangoon, so take this opportunity to explore this new shopping mall and write a post about the review of the eateries there.

But first, we needed to find somewhere to settle our rumbling tummies, hawker center seemed too smoky, coffee shops seemed too warm, especially with a kid in tow, is just asking for trouble, so there we were, roaming through small roads & lanes, and finally found our way to My Village, it is actually quite a small neighbourhood mall as a matter of fact. Something like the Siglap shopping mall, they have a few eateries, like Shinkushiya, Daikokuya,& anchor supermarket is Ntuc Finest.
