I have finally landed at Table 24 after hearing my friends raving how good it is. So for my anniversary, my husband and I decided to check this place out, which comes as a surprise to me because this is supposed to be fusion and my husband is er… somewhat the traditional kind which prefers his food – non fusion. 🙂

Reaching there at 6pm was not a good idea, because their air con has not kicked in yet, and I find myself getting all warmed up for the wrong reasons, haha…

ARTISAN BOULONGERIE CO – GREAT AMBIANCE GREAT CAFE FOOD

Hi there

Once I heard Artisan Boulangerie Co. (in short ABC) is opening at Kiliney Road, I immediately check it out once I have time during lunch. 🙂

Hidden at a corner off Kiliney road, this spaceous cafe serves lots of good stuff, of course their baguette is a must try. (I will tell you about it more later)

We managed to have lunch there, and it is definitely a place I will be back. 🙂

DAIKOKUYA TEMPURA SPECIALTY STORE – THE LARGEST TEMPURA I HAVE EVER SEEN

The last time I went to Asakusa was a good 7 years back before I start my family and I still remember it was soooo cold during that time, that I hardly did anything there except eat eat eat eat..

But this time round, since it is summer, I decided to really make an effort to walk around and explore, managed to visit yet a gain some old shops, got my dessert fix eating really nice Japanese kakigori or ice kachang.

RENGATEI GINZA – OLD SCHOOL JAPANESE WESTERN DEEP FRIED PORK CHOP

I made it a point in my last trip to visit a few of the “old shops” or rather restaurants that has been around for ages, and I do managed to clock in a few which included this old school Japanese western restaurant called Rengatei located at Ginza. 🙂

This shop has been around for 110 years (talk about old shops!), and is the oldest western restaurant.

They are famous for their deep fried pork chop or tonkatsu and also Japanese omelette rice which is ketchup fried rice wrapped in omelette.

BLACKBALL SINGAPORE BUGIS+- CHEWY, REFRESHING, OH SO ADDICTIVE

I have been eyeing this dessert place for the longest time, because it is quite far from both where I work and stay, I didn’t get to try it out.

Then one fine day, I was tasked to source for some party stuff and that brought me to Bugis+ where I can finally enjoy this mouthwatering dessert.

It looks promising enough when I went there, because as usual it is packed. I love the chewy bubbles so I make sure I get an order of their Blackball signature in crushed ice or you can also try other types which is Hot / Cold / Warm.

ICHIRAN RAMEN – TOKYO NO.2 RAMEN CHAMPION WITH REALLY COOL SEATING COUNTERS

My husband who went to his business trip, recommended this ramen joint in Tokyo, after doing a little research then he found out Ichiran serves Hakata ramen and is actually voted No. 2 champion in Japan. 🙂

And I am tasked to try it out during my trip.

There are quite a few branches in Tokyo, but we managed to go to the one at omotesando which is nearer to where we stay.

Once upon a time there is this guy who called Bill Granger who lives in Sydney, got dropped out of school and venture into the food business scene and got numerous awards for his simplistic yet contemporary food. And what attracted me was that people actually voted his restaurant Bills’ breakfast as The Best In The World.

It is quite impressive how he managed to opened even more outlets in UK and also in Japan and in 2013 in Hawaii. So this time round, managed to visit the Omotesando outlet to try out the Best Breakfast In The World 🙂

BEEF TONGUE DELICACIES – A MUST EAT WHEN YOU ARE IN JAPAN

Whenever I am in Japan, I will always look out for beef tongue, either beef tongue stew , beef tongue yakitori and my favourite grill beef tongue.

I love beef tongue, it is not easy to eat it in singapore, and now isetan are selling beef tongue, I will tend to go over there to buy and either sauteed it with butter or even shabu shabu.
