Taste Restaurant at Ibis Hotel is quite different from other restaurants you dine in other hotels. Their recipe success is simple, offering good food at affordable prices. Seetoh, the Makan guru who developed and endorsed their menu surely did not disappoint.

I was there the first time when my colleague bought some deal.com vouchers, so we decided to try it out, and since then I kept returning back there, because it was really good! 🙂

DAIKOKUYA RAMEN – MY VILLAGE SERANGOON DINING EXPERIENCE

Hi there,

Was pondering where to have dinner the other night, and decided to go to Serangoon Garden as I have not been there for ages. Saw some posters a few weeks back at Serangoon station annoucing the opening of My Village Serangoon, so take this opportunity to explore this new shopping mall and write a post about the review of the eateries there.

But first, we needed to find somewhere to settle our rumbling tummies, hawker center seemed too smoky, coffee shops seemed too warm, especially with a kid in tow, is just asking for trouble, so there we were, roaming through small roads & lanes, and finally found our way to My Village, it is actually quite a small neighbourhood mall as a matter of fact. Something like the Siglap shopping mall, they have a few eateries, like Shinkushiya, Daikokuya,& anchor supermarket is Ntuc Finest.

One of them is at Cafe L’ Operetta at Duxton Road. A new restaurant that serve Japanese inspired European cuisine by the L’ Opera group. It is located at the ground floor of Berjaya Hotel,and they are run by a team of Japanese chefs from their main courses down to their desserts.

O MY DOG AT GREAT WORLD CITY – IS IT REALLY THAT GOOD?

Are you tired of the usual boiled hot dogs with buns and ketchup mustard and onions?

Over the weekend, my husband and I were all hyped up and decided to drop by Great World City after hearing so much about the new fast food joint O My Dog. It is situated just next to Skinny Pizza and infront of GV cinemas on the third floor. I think they are under the same owner which is most probably by Spa Esprit Group as the are just right next to each other and the waiters & waitresses were working on both places.

Found this new Pizza joint called Slice at Pomo Mall couple weeks back, and heard the place is always packed during lunch time, so decided to give it a try.

It is a small store that can sit about 50 people, concept is simple, pizza that is on the go or dine in, what makes them different is apparently they use flash-bake ovens which cost $20,000 so that the pizzas can be baked in a hush hush 2 mins.

RESTAURANT REVIEWS – TONKICHI JAPANESE RESTAUARNT & IN HOUSE PROMOTIONS

I was at a company gathering at Tonkichi Suntec the other night, and decided to do a restaurant reviews on it. Saw some in house restaurant promotions as well, so hope you can try it out next time when you visit them.

Tonkichi is pretty much one of the several places you will go to if you want some good quality tonkatsu, or deep fried pork chop/cutlets/seafood. They serve good portions & always maintain consistent high quality dishes.

Of course there are also several big players around like Saboten, Tampopo, Tontei, even MaMaison Japanese Western where they do serve good quality tonkatsu. But Tonkichi is really one of the original stores that has been around for quite some time and over the years, we still go back to them when we have cravings for some deep fried oysters or pork chop.
