Marinara sauce is one of the simplest to cook from scratch because with all the seafood you add in, the sauce usually taste heavenly.
This time round, my dad decided to cook up a storm and to start off with this mini cooking marathon. This easy to cook yet amazingly delicious marinara seafood stew.
We paired it with some grilled steak as well, so it was a Surf & turf dinner. ๐

After buying a Angry Bird cup for my 3 year oldย son, my son has been all excited whenever he sees any angry bird pictures in the stores. So when I propose the idea of making angry bird pizza in return for hisย promise to keep his toys nice and neat, like most kids I guess, in no time zoom through the sitting room and start picking up toys, yeah that’s the power of angry bird, hahahaa….
But little did he know, I have a little mission in mind. To test his palate on corn, he use to like corn when he was much younger, but for some reason, he changed his palate and didn’t like eating it. So I am testing this kids cooking theory again and see if it works on him. ๐
So I have made couple of pizza, both with tomato base, but one covered with spinach and the other one is just plain tomato.

I got this pack of Pizza Crust for one reason – Easy Prep! as what state on the packet. I had a great time making muffins with my son with their Triple Berries Muffin Mix and it will be good to just try out other products as well, as it only cost about $2 a pack of this pizza crust mix.
I wanted to try out instead of savory pizza, may be he might like some sweet ones, and what better than the good old banana chocolate pizza right? ๐

Its weekend, and you are probably very tired from your Monday to Friday work week, and can’t wait to just slump into the sofa and take a rest, but this is also probably the time when your little ones will just jumped out and wanted you to play with them.
Yup.. this sounds all so familiar to me, hee hee.. but if I could think of some cooking session for my son, it usually will get him all excited and he will just get to “play” with his food and both of us will end up with a very nice meal to munch on too. ๐
So what’s better to do with your kids than to make some delicious yet healthy snacks? I love the idea of Kids Pizza, because you can prepare vegetables and cheese and for picky kids, they will still tempted to eat it since they made it themselves.
Of course the process is fun too, my son likes to “play” with the food, like start counting how many strands of cheese or draw a smiley face using the tomato paste. ๐

Last week I went to Marks & Spencer to check out their Food Hall at Wheelock Place to see if I can find something special which I can’t normally find in other Marks & Spencer outlets’ food section. ๐
Right at the entrance, they have piled up bottles and bottles of pasta sauce and also dried pasta, which are on promotions, and there, this bottle of really intense green looking bottle caught my eyes. And instantly I have this idea of cooking this Green Pesto Shrimps Pasta which will add a lot of colors onย the dining table. ๐
This bottle of Green Pesto is product of Italy, so that is the first good sign I find from the product itself.
Its main ingredients simply contain Basil, Olive Oil, Romano Cheese, Cashew Nuts, Pine Kernels, Garlic, Salt etc. From what I have learnt, it is actually not difficult to make this pesto from scratch. ๐ But you know sometimes busy lifestyle simply just direct us to something simplier and this just fit my bill for a weekend lunch.

My cravings for pizza still lingers after weeks of hunting and munching on my ideal pizzas. So my next cravings brought me and my family to Da Mario Pizzeria near Gallery Hotel, which is a family friendlyย restaurant hailed by Chef Mario from Abruzzo Italy.
All of his dishes are prepared from scratch, from the fresh dough to the baked bread and down to the sauces, to ensure that authentic flavours, textures & aromas.
On and off over the past years, I have been there about 4 – 5 times as it is off the hustle and bustle of Clarke quay area and at Robertson quay it is really an ideal place to bring your family for that ideal quiet dinner as there is a lot of walkway along the stretch of river too. Great for the kiddos when they start to feel restless ๐

Wafu (ๅ้ขจ) which means Japanese style has many interesting yet oh so delicious recipes to explore. If you have been following my blog, you will sense I have a very keen interest in Wafu recipes.
One of the wafu recipes, is Wafu Pizza and there are many Wafu Pizza recipes, but one which I have tried before and have yet to try it out is Unagi Pizza. ๐
We all know Unagi is great on rice, but how well it goes with pizza, I was one of the skeptical diners but changed my perception after trying it in Japan in a Japanese Italian cafe.
I love how the unagi fluffiness compliments the thin paper like thin crust pizza and the sweet sauce that goes with it, make it a heavenly pair. ๐
For this wafu recipes, it took me less than 10 mins to prepare and straight to the dining table, so it is one of those quick and simple recipes you won’t want to miss if you are a big fan of unagi. ๐
