When I was grocery shopping at Fairprice supermarket, I saw these really good looking Vietnam sweet potatoes, and I just have to get it. A bag for only 70cents.
We sometimes steam these sweet potatoes as breakfast but I know it will be too plain for my son, and the look of it just wasnβt as exciting, so I decided to make sweet potato pancakes for him instead, and literally βdress it upβ into a bear face to entice him can be a good idea too. π

After making the Singapore National Flag inspiredΒ cheesecake, I was itching to cook up something savory too, so brainstorming among all the famous dishes, there are this quinessential dish which all tourist must try, and it is Chilli Crab. π
You know how we are guilty to indulge in these tangy spicy sauce with deep fried mantou, it just literally means we can’t get enough of these really tasty sauce. So I decided to cook up this Chilli Crab spaghetti and in a quickest painless way as I have to dedicate more time toΒ play with my little one at home, so this dish can only take me at most 20mins. π
I was comtemplating if I should cook it from scratch, hmm.. I know there is this really simple recipe which just call for half bottle ketchup and half bottle of sweet chilli sauce, some flour and eggs and its done, but I got quite a few bottles in the fridge so I do not want to add in more bottles to leave some room for other sauces. π

I don’t know how many times I have declare my love for Japanese shiso leaves, but I just can’t get enough of it somehow, haahaa… It is of course goes really really well with salad and sashimi alone, but it also goes really well with deep fried items too! π
This is one dish which you can cooked either deep fried or even just yakitori style which is grilled and drizzle with yakitori or teriyaki sauce. π
This dish surprisingly require not as much time as you thought it is, because the cooking time is practically halved as I use thin shabu shabu meat instead of the thick pork chop to cook it.
