I am a fan of Apple Bee’s as they serve very good set lunch and also they have various Happy hour promotions which is quite attractive. But my favourite is still their $8.80 Nett set lunch. 🙂

Their set lunch comes with 8 different types of scrumptious combinations.

Baked Beef Bolognese – Bed of spaghetti topped with meat sauce & melted cheese
Mushroom Swiss Burger – Swiss and sauteed mushroom crown our hand crafted burger on a toasted bakery bun. Served with fries
Fish N Chips – Tender fish fillet coated with bread crumbs and fry into golden, served with fries, coleslaw and tar tar sauce

BROZEIT GERMAN RESTAURANT AT 313 SOMERSET – FEAST LIKE A KING & QUEEN

I like German food and to me Brozeit serve pretty good ones. Have been there a few times and even bought back the knuckle during CNY too. 🙂

And a few months back, they have this White Asparagus promotions, and we just can’t not to try it. I love asparagus, pork rolled asparagus, asparagus salad, it taste unique with tonnes of health benefits, and it is so easy to cook too! But I usually only try the green ones and have yet to try out white asparagus, so this is a great time to suss out just what’s so good about white asparagus.

Outdoor alfresco, sunny setting for a scrumptious lunch. 🙂

TWG HIGH TEA AT ION ORCHARD – INSTANT LITTLE PINKIE TEA SIP MOMENT

Hi there

I have some of my high school friends coming from macau and they have specifically ask me to bring them to try out TWG at ion to round off their Singapore trip. But hey just how does TWG part of Singapore tourist attraction?

But I have no complaints as I have yet to try it out. I know I know, very late for not trying but it is so hard to go there with my families, I will be scare half dead if my son started to play drums on the fine china. Anyway, finally this gives me a very good excuse to try it out and experience just how cosy (or costly) an afternoon session can be. 🙂

At 2pm, the queue already started and you have to wait an average of 20 mins or more for a table as they do not allow reservations during that prime hours which is afternoon tea.

AYAM PENYET RIA AT LUCKY PLAZA – SMASHED FRIED CHICKEN HURRAY

I have long wanted to try out the Ayam Penyet stores in Lucky Plaza but somehow the idea of going there all by myself just kept putting me off from going.

But the day finally come when one of my colleague wanted to get mini perfume from lucky plaza and the time has come to try the famous Lucky Plaza Ayam Penyet – Ria. Yeah!

Apparently to preserve the authentic Indonesian flavours, they import all their sauces and marindates from Indonesia. And with fried chicken what’s not to love about it right?

HARAMIYA JAPANESE BBQ AT CENTRAL REVIEWS – SMOKELESS JAPANESE BBQ

I was meeting my friend to dine at Central a few weeks back, so took this opportunity to try out something new. Was kind of undecided in a few restaurants, but finally we settled for Haramiya Japanese BBQ which have 2 branches in Japan already. 🙂

Japanese BBQ is usually not “just Japanese”, it is usually influenced quite a bit by Korean BBQ as well, so you can also see side dishes like kim chi to be around. One thing I like about here is the smoke free grill that they use, so you don’t end up like a smoky stink bomb after you finished dining there.

This place is none other than Suju which is just located next to Ippudo Ramen.

This is one of the place if you want to try out some really good Japanese rice as they pride themselves in cooking up some fluffy yet al dente Japanese rice.

WILD HONEY SCOTTS SQUARE & MANDARIN GALLERY – LIQUID GOLD FOR THE WEEKENDS

This is one of my most favourite place to go out for weekend breakfast because this place is so good it seriously remind me of NZ cafe food but with better over the top ingredients.

All day breakfast is finally catching up in Singapore which is such an exciting food experience. A good breakfast goes a long way but a great breakfast set you on a rocket and fuel you along the way, haha 🙂

Wild honey has two outlets. One at Scotts Square and the other which is the original store is at Mandarin Gallery.

I personally prefered the Scotts Square branch as they take reservations and also it is brighter but the Mandarin Gallery branch is cozier however the waiting time can be a pain too.

At Scott’s Square Wild Honey, you have a choice of alfresco or indoors seating. Take alfresco if you are okay with a little heat because it feels so nice in the morning, two thumbs up for the shiny morning breakast experience.

You might really want to make a reservation with Scotts Square because this place is hugely popular too, lucky us, as we were there early we only queued a while to get our seats.

FLAM’S SINGAPORE AT ORCHARD CENTRAL – FRENCH PIZZA EXPRESS SET LUNCH

If you are tired of eating the thick crust pizzas, and wanted something for a change, you might want to check out Flam’s at Orchard Central. They serve sole Flammekueche or Tarte Flambée, which is a kind of French pizza.

French + Pizza, sound a little weird huh? That’s what I thought when I first come across this place, so I didn’t get to try it out. But after I found out they have this express lunch deal, I thought why not, good time to try it out and see how the French compete with the Italians 🙂

Tucked at the corner at Orchard Central, it is just right next to the escalator, so you will get to spot it quite easily. It was still pretty quiet when we reached there, so we still have some skepticism in us. haha…

Their specialty pizza is made of a thin crust, spread with home made creamy base of yogurt & spices and with delicious creme fraiche, with chopped ingredients and baked in the oven for less than 3 mins is basically what you can get here. Serve piping crusty hot. 🙂

TWO BLUR GUYS – I WILL TELL YOU WHY THEY ARE BLUR

I have been reading quite a bit on newspaper about the Two Blur Guys at Orchid Hotel. So while going for my seminar at Tanjong Pagar, I made it a point to stop by and check it out.

It is just located at Orchid Hotel and you just need to walk to the back of the hotel which is just along the street where there are tonnes of bridal stores around. Opened by two zero F&B knowledge chap with financial background, they jumped into the F&B bandwagon with a chef. And that’s suppose how they get their name, interesting yet brutally truthful at the same time. 🙂

Believe it or not, the place is quite plain looking that I actually passed by without knowing it. Dark interior and probably can sit about 10 people in there. Looks like one of those cafes you can find in overseas.

Checked out their menu which mainly has burgers, cookies, pastries and cakes.

Heard their pull pork burgers is good but decided not to have a heavy meal before the seminar so I picked up couple of cakes which I have not tried for ages and so surprise to see it, Lamington cakes!!

I got this groupon to try out Mexican food at the new mexican joint at Concorde hotel, well technically this place does not belong under Concorde but rather it is situated at the food court just beneath the hotel.

Did a bit of images searching to find how’s the food is but strangely enough I couldn’t find any even the website is under construction so I ll just see how it goes 🙂

My husband with some Hispanic background loves his Mexican food and with this voucher, he was insistent to go even when he has the cold so I would say he has higher expectation on it than me.
